ASTEROIDS MY A$#!!!

This is just unbelievable. "TOP SCIENTISTS!" just announced that an asteroid threat may be about to obliterate us all... in 2036.... COME OOON! Guess who's advocating this?

You guessed it. The U.N. Otherwise known as the butt of the U.S. You want to know what I think? I think this is just a pretext for launching major weaponry into space, weaponizing a region that is supposed to be left free of weapons technology.

And my personal opinion is that peace should reign supreme. Hell, I love a good fight, don't we all. But I still believe that in the end, that type of violent interaction which threatens lives and futures, is meant for baboons, gorillas, rams, and peacocks. Humans have progressed far enough that war has become more of an inherent peice of the proverbial "tail" left in our DNA. Something that really has little more necessity.

I can prove that, but first, read this:

U.N. Urged to Take On Asteroid Threat

SAN FRANCISCO (Feb. 18) - An asteroid may come uncomfortably close to Earth in 2036 and the United Nations should assume responsibility for a space mission to deflect it, a group of astronauts, engineers and scientists said on Saturday.

An asteroid is shown in an illustration. Astronomers are monitering an asteroid named Apophis, which has a 1 in 45,000 chance of striking Earth on April 13, 2036.

Astronomers are monitoring an asteroid named Apophis, which has a 1 in 45,000 chance of striking Earth on April 13, 2036. Although the odds of an impact by this particular asteroid are low, a recent congressional mandate for NASA to upgrade its tracking of near-Earth asteroids is expected to uncover hundreds, if not thousands of threatening space rocks in the near future, former astronaut Rusty Schweickart said. "It's not just Apophis we're looking at. Every country is at risk. We need a set of general principles to deal with this issue," Schweickart, a member of the Apollo 9 crew that orbited the earth in March 1969, told an American Association for the Advancement of Science conference in San Francisco.

Ok, so basically, they just disproved the claim they made.

ASTEROID TO STRIKE US!... then... really... there is a really low probability of "that" particular asteroid or any other from striking us. the real statistics of an asteroid striking earth is:
low....

That's because:
--- (http://miac.uqac.ca/MIAC/impactearth.htm)
While we would, on average, expect one such dramatic impact every ten million years, our state of ignorance of the population of near earth objects (NEOs) is such that we have no guarantee that it will not happen during our lifetime. Also, we would expect that a 50 to 100 m sized object, still capable of generating dangerous tsunamis, would strike Earth every century or so (the last such event occurred in June, 1908 in Tunguska in Siberia). A land impact of a more modest object can also cause severe destruction, through earth shocks and firestorms. One can estimate the approximate area of devastation from such objects by using the relationship area of devastation (in square km) =3D 400 x (kinetic energy in terms of megatons of TNT)2/3. A 500 m object would be expected to devastate an area comparable to Ontario plus Quebec.

Point is, I'm ready to leave and go to sleep, so remember this, it's claimed that most of the ufo events involving blunt openness in their intent have been because we were attempting to place nuclear or other weapons systems into space. .

.... Universal Law # ? -- NO WEAPONS SHALL TRAVEL FORTH FROM ANY TERRESTRIAL BODY TO ANY OTHER BODY, CELESTIAL OR OTHER. WAR IS ANTITHESIS OF PROGRESS AND LIFE! PROGRESS AND LIFE IS ALL WE HAVE!

Those who promote war are imbeciles and probably broke. Why do you think the U.S is constantly at war? Because people are attacking them? NO! people are threatening their pencil thin money sources. research it yourselves people. I've got to go.

FRANK!
