David Rockefeller, Sr. (born June 12, 1915) is a prominent American banker, philanthropist, world statesman, and the current patriarch of the renowned Rockefeller family. He is the youngest and only surviving son and grandson, respectively, of the prominent philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and the billionaire oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil. His five deceased siblings are: Abby, John D. 3rd, Nelson, Laurance and Winthrop.
The consummate networker
Bilderberg and Trilateral Commission
A committed globalist ("world citizen"), due to the strong influence of his father, he had at an early age further spread his connections when he was invited to attend the inaugural (and subsequently highly influential) Bilderberg Group meetings, starting with the Holland gathering in 1954. He has been a consistent attendee through the decades and has been a member of the "steering committee", which determines the invitation list for the upcoming annual meetings. These have frequently included prominent national figures who have gone on to be elected as political leaders of their respective countries.
Rockefeller maintains that, although Bilderberg's role is not to resolve disputes, because of the wide-ranging experience of the various attendees participants are 'free to report on what they have heard' to their respective heads of government.[25]
It was a dissatisfaction with the failure of this group to include Japan that subsequently led to him forming the Trilateral Commission (TC) in July 1973, influenced by, among others, Zbigniew Brzezinski, the National Security Advisor under Carter and the author of Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era, published in 1970. They discussed forming the organization at a Bilderberg Group meeting in Belgium in 1972; Brzezinski subsequently became the inaugural US director. The Commission also launched its own magazine, the Trialogue.
It held the founding session of its Executive Committee in Tokyo in October, 1973. In May 1975, the first plenary meeting of all of the Commission's regional groups – North America, Europe and Japan, comprising some 300 members – took place in Kyoto. In its Third Annual Report, released in mid-1976, the Commission noted that there was a "noticeably increased emphasis on trilateral ties as the cornerstone of American foreign policy".[26]
This Commission was to come under media scrutiny (and become the focus ever after of conspiracy theorists) when it was later disclosed that Carter appointed 26 former Commission members (who must resign before taking up government positions) to senior positions in his Administration. Moreover, it also came out that Carter himself was a former Trilateral member. (The Clinton Administration, by contrast, had close to a dozen Commission members, including Clinton himself; both Gerald Ford and George Bush Sr were also Trilateralists.)[27]
An important aspect of the Commission is their delegations visiting foreign leaders. In 1989, to cite just one instance, Rockefeller visited the then USSR at the head of a high-powered Commission delegation which included Henry Kissinger, former French President Giscard d'Estaing, former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone, and William Hyland, editor of the CFR's prestigious journal Foreign Affairs. In their meeting with Mikhail Gorbachev, the delegation sought and received an explanation on how the USSR would integrate into the world economy. The information thus gained through such delegations is then relayed back in reports to both the TC members and, where appropriate, to US political leaders.[28]

[edit] Quotations
"For David Rockefeller, the Presidency of the United States would be a demotion." - The standard joke in America for a time in the 1970's, as quoted in Harr & Johnson The Rockefeller Conscience; An American Family in Public and in Private (1991) (p.217).
"Not armies, not nations, have advanced the race; but here and there, in the course of ages, an individual has stood up and cast his shadow over the world." A quotation from 19th-century clergyman Edwin H. Chapin (1814 -1880) selected by Carla Hills, former U.S. Trade Representative, to demonstrate Rockefeller's many contributions to 'causes that benefit us all', at a Panel Discussion on his Memoirs in 2002. - Quoted by Will Banyan in his 2006 study: The Proud Internationalist.
The journalist Bill Moyers, a former speechwriter for president Johnson, in his 1980 TV special, The World of David Rockefeller, described the plutocrat respectively as "the unelected if indisputable chairman of the American Establishment" and "one of the most powerful, influential and richest men in America", who "sits at the hub of a vast network of financiers, industrialists and politicians whose reach encircles the globe." - Quoted by Will Banyan in his 2006 study: The Proud Internationalist.
"I think without internationalists like you, the international system we have been trying to build, the international system we have today, wouldn't be here." - UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, at a book signing for "Memoirs" at the UN headquarters in New York, in 2002, quoted in Will Banyan: The Proud Internationalist.
"David Rockefeller is like the Medicis, his shadowy yet powerful political role one of the 'secret things' of Washington, DC. There is a range of anecdotal evidence to support this assessment. In 1999, for example, the Irish rock star Bono (from U2), then trying to secure support for Third World debt relief, received an important lesson about the US power structure from then CFR President Leslie Gelb. He had explained to Bono 'the great chain of influence' — from David Rockefeller to UN Ambassador Richard Holbrooke to US Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin to former Chairman of the Fed, Paul Volcker to a number of key Republicans — that led from Wall Street to Washington and back again. Gelb, though, disputed Bono's suspicion that there must be an 'Elvis' — a 'single figure with enough clout' to achieve anything in the US political system — and informed him that 'he would need the support of every one of these American dignitaries'. Sure enough, Bono, working with Bobby Shriver, met with World Bank President James Wolfensohn, Paul Volcker and then with David Rockefeller.
After Volcker came Rockefeller, the wise old man of Wall Street, and former Chairman of Chase Manhattan Bank. 'That meeting went really well,' Bobby [Shriver] remembers, 'We discussed then-current initiatives and problems with these. We corresponded back and forth for several months.'" - From Will Banyan's 2006 study: The Proud Internationalist (see External Links below).
"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." - From his "Memoirs" (p.405).

I HHAAAATE this guy. I've seen behind the scenes candid camera moments that just proves this guy is the lowest of the low, the dumbest of the dumb. if he was any more numb skulled, I'd be constructing a builing on this block of rocks. I dont eventhink that, if I showed him the proof, evidence, literally got bush and co. to come up and tell him one by one that they were indeed responsible for some of the worst crimes against humanity in our history, he STILL wouldnt believe it. too bad. This is the problem we face, people like him, who although they may actually be good guys, smart guys, they're immune to truth anywhere and everywhere.
O'Reilly's public beliefs and points of view
Political affiliation
On his January 10, 2000 show, O'Reilly claimed he was an Independent, but the New York Daily News reported on December 6, 2000, that he was registered as a Republican in Nassau County, New York, from 1994 to 2000. After the Daily News questioned O'Reilly on the matter, he re-registered as an Independent in 2001.[25]
O'Reilly disagrees with a common claim that he is a conservative, preferring to call himself a traditionalist and a populist. In his book The O'Reilly Factor, he describes his political affiliation this way: "You might be wondering if whether I'm conservative, liberal, libertarian, or exactly what... See, I don't want to fit any of those labels, because I believe that the truth doesn't have labels. When I see corruption, I try to expose it. When I see exploitation, I try to fight it. That's my political position."[26]
The Iraq war
Speaking on ABC's Good Morning America on 18 March 2003, O'Reilly made the following promise: "If the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again."[27]HYPERLINK \l "_note-22"[28]HYPERLINK \l "_note-23"[29]
In another appearance on the same program on 10 February 2004, O'Reilly responded to repeated requests for him to honor his pledge: "My analysis was wrong and I'm sorry. I was wrong. I'm not pleased about it at all." With regard to never again trusting the current U.S. government, he said, "I am much more skeptical of the Bush administration now than I was at that time."[27] He has continued to publicly support the U.S. invasion of Iraq, while criticizing the Bush administration's handling of it, often giving rhetorical advice to the administration.
After reading a poll showing that only 2% of the Iraqi people viewed the US Forces as liberators and 55% preferred that they leave, O'Reilly said they are a "prehistoric" group and he has no respect for them. He added: "we cannot intervene in the Muslim world ever again. What we can do is bomb the living daylights out of them (...) no more ground troops, no more hearts and minds, ain't going to work."[30]
Terrorism
O'Reilly supports coercive measures to extract information from detainees at Guantanamo Bay, which he visited on two occasions. He has said that claims that, in comparison to torture procedures used under the regimes of dictators such as Adolf Hitler and Pol Pot, the U.S.'s tactics are not torture and are beneficial even when involving physical techniques.[31]
He also thinks that detainees should be judged under military tribunals, but not protected under the Geneva Convention because the convention requires combatants to wear a uniform, although this is not the only reason given.[31]
He has been critical of politicians such as Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and private citizens such as financier George Soros for wanting to try terror suspects in civilian courts.[32]
Politics
O'Reilly said of the Bill Clinton impeachment that it "was not about sex. This is about honesty and cruelty. For Mr. Clinton, it was about undermining the justice system."[33] In the same article he points out that Gary Condit a Democratic congressman, who had an affair with Chandra Levy prior to her disappearance and death, should be held at the same standard when it comes to inappropriate behavior.
O'Reilly has repeatedly claimed throughout the years that Clinton had the IRS audit him.[34]
In the 2004 presidential election he implied his support for George W. Bush, but also complimented John Kerry. During an interview on The Daily Show, O'Reilly told host Jon Stewart that he had yet to make up his mind on who he was going to vote for. He called the "Swift Vets and POWs for Truth" campaign criticizing Kerry's military record "terrible."[35] He is also cited as saying that most of those who voted for Kerry did so as a vote against Bush, stating that the Democratic party has been "hijacked by the left" and that they suffer losses because of this.[36]
O'Reilly does not endorse candidates directly, but he will generally advise viewers and listeners not to vote for a candidate that he opposes.[37] In 2004 he urged his viewers to vote against Democratic senate candidate Betty Castor in Florida because of her attack of the show for their investigation of Sami Al-Arian, an instructor at the University of South Florida where Castor was president. Al-Arian was later arrested by the FBI.[38]
O'Reilly has been critical of former attorney general Janet Reno, calling her "perhaps the worst attorney general in history" for allowing the FBI to become a "disorganized mess" and not prosecuting corporate criminals. However, he later praised former Attorney General John Ashcroft for going after the Arthur Andersen accounting firm, as well as Enron, WorldCom, Sam Waksal of Imclone and Martha Stewart.[39]
O'Reilly has criticized Democratic Senator Hillary Clinton and her running for president in 2008. In an interview with Jay Leno he said, "I just feel that Hillary is a socialist, and I'm paying enough tax. Hillary wants to take my money [and] your money ... and give it to strangers. There's something about that that offends me." He pointed out that she had voted for every single spending bill that year. In the same interview, he accused her of running as a political carpetbagger, and said that she intends to abolish the Electoral College in favor of popular vote, claiming that it would be done only to give her an advantage in the presidential race.[40]
Secularism and the "elite media"
In 2003, O'Reilly criticized the Los Angeles Times for endorsing then-governor Gray Davis, who was running against Arnold Schwarzenegger in a recall election. He said that he "has never seen a newspaper try to destroy someone as aggressively as the Times is doing." He made the claim that Californians have canceled their subscriptions due to the "extreme left-wing bias" of the newspaper. At the same time, he felt that Davis and the "Democratic machine" were equally corrupt and had to be removed.[41] However, in the same segment, O'Reilly mentioned that the "corrupt GOP" that was once in power in his home of Nassau County, New York should also have been removed, and that the new Democrat in charge had been doing a good job.
He has criticized the funding of left-wing interests by George Soros and Peter Lewis. O'Reilly supported California Proposition 73 because it required parental notification for underage girls seeking an abortion. "[T]he left-wing media has been able to convince millions of Americans that the government knows what's best for families, not the parents," he said.[42]
He has commented extensively on the gay marriage issue that erupted in San Francisco, and has criticized Schwarzenegger and Bush for not speaking out against the issue.[43]
He has supported the mention of intelligent design in schools and considers the National Academy of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science opposition to be fascist.[44]
O'Reilly has been critical of the ACLU, calling it "the most dangerous organization in the United States of America". He has called them a fascist organization in response to their threatened lawsuit against Los Angeles County for failing to remove a cross from its official seal.[45]
He regularly criticizes jurists in controversial cases as "activist judges." He uses the issue of gay marriage to support his point. "The folks decide that by voting and, in the case of gay marriage, the folks have decided. And that decision should be respected."[46]
O'Reilly has taken to using the abbreviation "S-P", for "Secular Progressive", as a shorthand way of referring to that general political category. However, neither Webster's Dictionary nor dictionary.com recognize the existence of such a category. [47]
Crime and punishment
The prison system
O'Reilly has called the current U.S. prison system too lenient, and has said that criminals have too many privileges like television and cigarettes, as well as access to drugs and sex. He has commented on support for military style labor camps for the nation's worst criminals as an alternative to the current prison system. He proposes a gulag style prison located in Alaska where such criminals would be forced to work eight hours a day, six days a week. Visitation would be limited to a few visitors a year. Punishment would be enforced through food rationing and solitary confinement. In his view, this could also replace the death penalty, to which he is opposed.[48]
The Mexican border
He has supported stricter border controls, including placement of the National Guard troops on the US-Mexican border and has criticized Bush for not allocating enough resources to make border security effective. He also criticized Ronald Reagan's act of amnesty, claiming that it made the supposed immigration problem worse.[49]
Gun control
O'Reilly supports gun control.[35] However, he also voiced support for private gun ownership after Hurricane Katrina.[50]
Jessica's Law
O'Reilly is a strong proponent of stricter penalties for child molesters. He has vehemently supported Jessica's Law and criticizes what he believes to be lenient treatment of those convicted of child molestation.[51] He has also criticized the law's detractors.[52] He has endorsed politicians like Republican Doug Forrester in the 2005 New Jersey gubernatorial election, suggesting that Jon Corzine, a Democrat, would be less likely to support a national version of the law.[53]
O'Reilly has been particularly critical of the Debra LaFave case, in which she was convicted of having sex with a 14-year-old boy but was only sentenced to house arrest and seven years' probation.[54]
He criticizes many politicians who oppose mandatory minimum sentences for child molesters. Specifically, he points out Massachusetts House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi, Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal, Senator Brian Frosh of Maryland, Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, former Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne. He has also called Vermont, Hawaii, Montana, Maine and Utah a "child predator-friendly states".[54]
Fiscal issues
O'Reilly is a frequent critic of government welfare and poverty programs. He is also critical of the estate tax which taxes up to 46 percent of estates which, under current federal law, are valued over $2 million. However, he does not differentiate between the marginal tax rate (46%) and the effective tax rate (roughly 9%). [55]According to the IRS, the estate tax in its "current form only affects the wealthiest 2% of all Americans", or approximately 52,000 estates. http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=108143,00.html
O'Reilly has said French unemployment and subsequent riots are the "common effects of socialist thinking". He says the French unemployment rate is high because of entitlements sanctioned by the French government, and that these entitlements make employers hesitant to hire young employees for fear that they will be stuck with an underperforming worker while being required to give them benefits and extensive vacation time.[56]
He says he supports income-based affirmative action as opposed to race-related affirmative action.[57]
He said that much of the chaos following Hurricane Katrina occurred because roughly 10 percent of the population cannot sustain itself. He has said that much of the funds doled out under entitlement programs is wasted on alcohol and drugs.[58]
Environmental issues
O'Reilly generally supports the science behind global warming, although he has said that it is not entirely certain that fossil fuels are the cause. Nonetheless, he has expressed support for a long-term strategy to curb fossil fuel use. He has said he would not support the Kyoto Treaty for economic reasons, but supports the use of fewer polluting agents, more conservation, and "tons more innovation" such as tax credits for alternative fuels.[59]
O'Reilly has also stated his belief that the United States is not doing enough to make it independent of foreign oil. "If Brazil can develop an ethanol industry that makes it completely independent of foreign oil, then the USA can."[60]
Controversies
Main article: Criticism of Bill O'Reilly
Over the years, there have been several controversial issues highlighted in O'Reilly's print and broadcast work. He is involved in many disputes with figures and sources (both liberal and conservative) including Al Franken, Michael Savage, George Clooney, Joe Scarborough, Jon Stewart, Keith Olbermann, Tucker Carlson, David Letterman, Neal Boortz, Michael Kinsley, Bill Maher and Ludacris.
On his prompting, Fox News sued Al Franken over his book, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right, claiming that the book's satirical mockery of the network and of O'Reilly himself was a copyright violation. The title was critical of O'Reilly, among many others, and an unflattering image of O'Reilly from the show was included on the cover, along with Ann Coulter, Dick Cheney, and George W. Bush. The counter-argument in the suit was the book was a parody and could not be mistaken for a Fox News publication. On August 22, 2003, U.S. District Judge Denny Chin denied Fox's request for an injunction to block the publication of Franken's book, characterizing the network's claim as "wholly without merit, both factually and legally." Three days later, Fox filed papers to drop its lawsuit.
O'Reilly is frequently challenged by his critics, who question his accuracy on issues such as the Malmedy massacre, his claim that Inside Edition won two Peabody Awards when it was actually a single Polk award (won after he left the show);[61] He has also discussed controversial topics such as his annual reports on the Secularization of Christmas, which he calls the "War on Christmas".[62]
He has been quoted as saying that Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer and should not be cited for hard facts, whereas O'Reilly himself is a journalist.[35]
The media watch group, Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, has published a book entitled The "Oh Really?" Factor, by author Peter Hart (ISBN 158322601X). The book catalogues what are argued to be distortions and inaccuracies on the part of O'Reilly.
In January 2007, O'Reilly on The O'Reilly Factor stated that a Missouri pre-teen, Shawn Hornbeck, who was abducted and held prisoner for four years by an alleged child molester had "liked ... his circumstances" and had "a lot more fun" than with "his old parents".
On the January 24, 2007 edition of The O'Reilly Factor O'Reilly said that he was personally responsible for effecting the dismissal of the Roman Catholic Cardinal Archbishop of Boston. "I claim credit for getting Cardinal Law booted out of this country," O'Reilly said, without providing any further details.[citation needed]
The Comedy Central program The Colbert Report, hosted by Stephen Colbert, parodies The O'Reilly Factor. Colbert has called his character (who is based on an amalgam of personalities, though primarily O'Reilly) a "well-intentioned, poorly informed, high-status idiot." On January 18, 2007 the two shows "collided" for the first time, with cross-promotional visits, as Colbert made a special appearance on The O'Reilly Factor, and later that night O'Reilly made a guest visit to The Colbert Report. The two gently mocked each other, with Colbert using some of the same jokes in both "interviews". After Colbert's appearance, O'Reilly conducted a "review" of their dialogue, with remarks by Bernard Goldberg and Jane Hall. At the end of his own show, Colbert showed the audience a microwave oven he claimed to have lifted from the show's greenroom. The origin of the oven was later confirmed by an Associated Press article. [63]

Democracy and double standards
David Cole
To those who pit Americans against immigrants and citizens against non-citizens, to those who scare peace-loving people with phantoms of lost liberty, my message is this: Your tactics only aid terrorists, for they erode our national unity and diminish our resolve. They give ammunition to America’s enemies, and pause to America’s friends. —Attorney General John Ashcroft, 6 December 2001
I. Introduction
8 On January 24, 2002, the United States military transported John Walker Lindh, a young American raised in Marin County, California, and captured with the Taliban on the battlefields of Afghanistan, to Alexandria, Virginia, where he was to be indicted in a civilian criminal court for conspiring to kill Americans. White House spokesman Ari Fleischer announced that "the great strength of America is he will now have his day in court." Represented by some of the best criminal defense attorneys in the country, Lindh raised substantial constitutional challenges to his prosecution, and the government ultimately dropped its most serious charges against him in exchange for a plea agreement.
At the same time, the military was holding 158 foreign-born Taliban and al Qaeda prisoners at a military base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in eight-foot-by-eight-foot chain-link cages. A widely circulated press photo depicted the prisoners bound and shackled, with bags covering their heads and eyes, kneeling on the ground before U.S. soldiers. They were (and still are) held incommunicado, without charges, without access to lawyers, and without any judicial review. President George W. Bush announced that he categorically determined that the Guantanamo detainees were not entitled to the protections accorded prisoners of war under the Geneva Conventions, and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld dismissed concerns about their treatment with the assertion that they were "being treated vastly better than they treated anybody else over the last several years." Two months earlier, the president had issued a military order providing that al Qaeda members and other noncitizens could be tried by military tribunals, in which the military would act as prosecutor, judge, jury, and executioner, without any appeal to a civilian court.
The difference between the treatment afforded John Walker Lindh and his fellow Taliban and al Qaeda prisoners held at Guantanamo appeared to rest on the fact that Lindh was, as the press nicknamed him, "the American Taliban." When Attorney General John Ashcroft announced the charges against Lindh, a reporter asked why Lindh was being tried in an ordinary criminal court rather than before a military tribunal. Ashcroft explained that because Lindh was a United States citizen, he was not subject to the military tribunals created by President Bush’s order. As a purely legal matter, the president could have made U.S. citizens subject to military commissions; citizens have been tried in military tribunals before, and the Supreme Court expressly upheld such treatment as recently as World War II. But the president chose to limit his order to noncitizens. Several months later, however, military justice was extended to U.S. citizens, as the government asserted the right to hold two citizens—Yaser Hamdi, captured in Afghanistan, and José Padilla, arrested at O’Hare Airport in May on suspicion that he might be planning to set off a radioactive "dirty bomb"—as "enemy combatants," without charges, without counsel, without trial, and without judicial review.
Both the president’s initial choice to limit military justice to foreign nationals and his subsequent extension of that authority to U.S. citizens are emblematic of how we have responded to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. While there has been much talk about the need to sacrifice liberty for a greater sense of security, in practice we have at least initially selectively sacrificed noncitizens’ liberties while retaining basic protections for citizens. All too often, we have sought to avoid the difficult trade-offs between liberty and security by striking an illegitimate balance, sacrificing the liberties of noncitizens in furtherance of the citizenry’s purported security. Because noncitizens have no vote, and thus no direct voice in the democratic process, they are an especially vulnerable minority. And in the heat of the nationalistic and nativist fervor engendered by war, noncitizens’ interests are even less likely to weigh in the balance.
Some maintain that a "double standard" for citizens and noncitizens is perfectly justified. The attacks of September 11 were perpetrated by nineteen Arab noncitizens, and we have reason to believe that other Arab noncitizens are associated with the attackers and will seek to attack again. Citizens, it is said, are presumptively loyal; noncitizens are not. Thus, it is not irrational to focus on Arab noncitizens. Moreover, on a normative level, if citizens and noncitizens were treated identically, citizenship itself might be rendered meaningless. The very essence of war involves the drawing of lines in the sand between citizens of our nation and those against whom we are fighting. Surely in that setting it makes sense to treat noncitizens differently from citizens.
I will argue that such reasoning should be resisted on three grounds. First, it is normatively and constitutionally wrong: the basic rights at stake—political freedom, due process, and equal protection of the laws—are not limited to citizens, but apply to all "persons" subject to our laws. Second, it undermines our security interests: employing a double standard with respect to the basic rights accorded citizens and noncitizens is likely to be counterproductive at home and abroad because it compromises our legitimacy in both spheres. And third, it will pave the way for future inroads on citizens’ liberties: as the government’s treatment of Padilla and Hamdi has already illustrated, the tactic of trading immigrants’ rights for citizens’ security is misleading, for what we let our government do to immigrants creates precedents for how it treats citizens.
In short, when we balance liberty and security, we should do so in ways that respect the equal dignity and basic human rights of all persons and not succumb to the temptation of purchasing security at the expense of noncitizens’ basic rights. The true test of justice in a democratic society is not how it treats those with a political voice, but how it treats those who have no voice in the democratic process.

---the criminal bush family.
(http://www.oldamericancentury.org/bushco/bush_crime_family.htm) - The Bush Crime Family Tree
George Walker, GW's great-grandfather, set up the takeover of the Hamburg-America Line, a cover for I.G. Farben's Nazi espionage unit in the United States. In Germany, I.G. Farben was most famous for putting the gas in gas chambers; it was the producer of Zyklon B and other gasses used on victims of the Holocaust. The Bush family was not unaware of the nature of their investment partners. They hired Allen Dulles, the future head of the CIA, to hide the funds they were making from Nazi investments and the funds they were sending to Nazi Germany, rather than divest. It was only in 1942, when the government seized Union Banking Company assets under the Trading With The Enemy Act, that George Walker and Prescott Bush stopped pumping money into Hitler's regime. (1)
Prescott Bush, the president's grandfather. According to classified documents from Dutch intelligence and US government archives, President George W. Bush's grandfather, Prescott Bush made considerable profits off Auschwitz slave labor. In fact, President Bush himself is an heir to these profits from the holocaust which were placed in a blind trust in 1980 by his father, former president George Herbert Walker Bush. (2) On the 20th of October, the government commenced action against the company under the trading with the enemy act. (3) After the seizures in late 1942 of five U.S. enterprises he managed on behalf of Nazi industrialist Fritz Thyssen failed to divest himself of more than a dozen "enemy national" relationships that continued until as late as 1951, newly-discovered U.S. government documents reveal. (4) In 1952, Prescott Bush was elected to the U.S. Senate, with no press accounts about his well-concealed Nazi past.(5)
George Herbert Walker Bush, the presidents father. Bush, as director of the CIA, had funneled enormous amounts of cash to drug runners including Manuel Noriega and helped in the destabilization of Argentina. Bush utilized his own connections to help fund drug runners from Laos to Panama. Most shocking was the so-called "cocaine coup" in Bolivia in June 1980, masterminded by fugitive Nazi Klaus Barbie, "The Butcher Of Lyons." Barbie, who had been previously secreted in Latin America by the CIA, began working closely with the Argentines and used drug money to finance a neo-Nazi cabal, one that succeeded in overthrowing the government. The troops swept through the capital wearing Nazi armbands, according to former DEA agent Mike Levine. George H.W. Bush later facilitated the Iran-contra affair, employing many of the same methods: secretly selling Central American cocaine in America and weapons to Iran while using the profits to fund the contras and to overthrow democratically elected socialists in Central America.(6) as the head of the CIA and later as Vice President, toppled democratically elected regimes in South and Central America and began propping up a dictator by the name of Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Although forbidden by congress to do so, he continued to sell chemical and biological weapons to Saddam even after he used them on villages of innocent civilians. A decade later The United States had to go to war against him and the Bush family again, made millions from it.
Jonathan J. Bush, the Presidents uncle. Jonathan Bush's "Pioneer Profile" in "George W. Bush's $100,000 Club" cites him as the "head" of the Riggs Investment Management Co.; "Bush’s uncle Jonathan ... founded its subsidiary, J. Bush & Co., of which he is chair. He also is an ex-chair of the New York Republican State Finance Committee. Bush credits the investors sent his way by this banker uncle as a key to his 'success' in the Texas oil industry in the early ‘80s." (17)
Jonathan J. Bush, is a top executive at Riggs Bank, which this week agreed to pay a record $25 million in civil fines for violations of law intended to thwart money laundering. Jonathan Bush, who is a major fundraiser for his nephew, was appointed in 2000 to run Riggs Investment Management Co. His association with Riggs began when he headed J. Bush & Co., a New Haven, Conn., company he created in 1970 and built to offer advice on money management. (18)
According to the 5/14/04 New York Times, Federal regulators fined the Riggs National Corporation, the parent company of Riggs Bank, $25 million yesterday for "failing to report suspicious activity, the largest penalty ever assessed against a domestic bank in connection with money laundering. The fine stems from Riggs's failure over at least the last two years to actively monitor suspect financial transfers through Saudi Arabian accounts held by the bank." The 5/14/04 Wall Street Journal reported that of particular concern, Riggs failed to monitor "tens of millions of dollars in cash withdrawals from accounts related to the Saudi Arabian embassy," including "suspicious incidents involving dozens of sequentially numbered cashier's checks and international drafts written by Saudi officials, including Saudi Ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan." According to the 4/18/04 Washington Post, Saudi Prince Bandar's wife, Princess Haifa al-Faisal, "may have used a Riggs account to donate money to a charity that then gave some of it to the Sept. 11 terrorists."(...)According to the nonprofit Texans for Public Justice, Jonathan Bush is the President and CEO of Riggs Investment Management - a major arm of Riggs Bank. He is also the uncle of President George W. Bush. The President "credits the investors sent his way by this banker uncle as a key to his 'success' in the Texas oil industry in the early '80s." According to Public Citizen, the uncle Jonathan was a Bush Pioneer, having raised more than $100,000 for his nephew in 2000.(19)
Neil Bush, the president's brother. Central player of the 1980'ssavings and loan scandal, he ran a savings and loan into the ground while shoveling millions of its taxpayer-backed dollars into the pockets of two deadbeat partners. Neil served as a director of Silverado Banking, Savings and Loan in Denver, Colorado, from 1985 until 1988. During that time, the now-dead thrift made over $200 million in loans to Neil's two partners in JNB Exploration, Neil's abysmally unsuccessful oil company. Federal regulators determined that, while Silverado was pumping loans to Neil's two associates, Neil was completely dependent on the two men for his income. The failure of Silverado -- its closure delayed until after the 1988 election -- cost taxpayers about $1 billion. After Silverado failed, Neil started a new oil company, Apex Energy. This time, his money came from a $2.35 million loan through a Small Business Administration program. When news of this reached the press in March 1991, the SBA discovered that the companies through which the loan was approved were technically insolvent, and it gave them up to thirty months to "self-liquidate." This meant that Apex would have to repay its SBA-guaranteed loans. Neil took this as his cue to move on, and he left Apex -- and its debts -- for others to worry about. (7) update: Neil Bush made $171,370 in one day. The fact that he was a former consultant to the company whose stock he dumped is just a coincidence
Marvin Bush, the president's brother was on the board of directors of a company providing electronic security for the World Trade Center, Dulles International Airport and United Airlines, according to public records. The company was backed by an investment firm, the Kuwait-American Corp., also linked for years to the Bush family. The security company, formerly named Securacom and now named Stratesec, is in Sterling, Va.. Its CEO, Barry McDaniel, said the company had a ``completion contract" to handle some of the security at the World Trade Center ``up to the day the buildings fell down." The suite in which Marvin Bush was annually re-elected, according to public records, is located in the Watergate in space leased to the Saudi government. The company now holds shareholder meetings in space leased by the Kuwaiti government there.(8) (9) more
Jeb Bush, the president's brother. After graduating from The University of Texas, Jeb Bush served a short apprenticeship at the Venezuelan branch of Texas Commerce Bank in Caracas before settling in Miami, in 1980, to work on his father's unsuccessful primary bid against Ronald Reagan. Shortly after arriving in Miami, Jeb was hired by Cuban-American developer Armando Codina to work at his Miami development company as an agent leasing office space. A couple of years later, Jeb and Codina became business partners, and in 1985 they purchased an office building in a deal partly financed by a savings and loan that later failed. The $4.56 million loan, from Broward Federal Savings in Sunrise, Florida, was granted in such a way that neither Codina's nor Bush's name appeared on the loan papers as the borrowers. A third man, J. Edward Houston, borrowed the $4.56 million from Broward and then re-lent it to the Bush partnership. When federal regulators closed Broward Savings in 1988, they found the loan, which had been secured by the Bush partnership, in default. As Jeb's father was finishing his second term as vice-president and running for the presidency, federal regulators had two options: to get Jeb Bush and his partner to repay the loan, or to foreclose on their office building. But regulators came up with a third solution. After reappraising the building, regulators decided it wasn't worth as much as was owed for it. The regulators reduced the amount owed by Bush and his partner from $4.56 million to just $500,000. The pair paid that amount and were allowed to keep their office building. Taxpayers picked up the tab for the unpaid $4 million. (10)
He also rigged an election that you may have heard about. Thousands of eligible voters were disallowed the right to vote in predominantly democratic regions. Between May 1999 and Election Day 2000, two Florida secretaries of state - Sandra Mortham and Katherine Harris, both protégées of Governor Jeb Bush- ordered 57,700 "ex-felons," who are prohibited from voting by state law, to be removed from voter rolls. (In the thirty-five states where former felons can vote, roughly 90 percent vote Democratic.) A company now owned by ChoicePoint of Atlanta, was paid $4.3 million for its work, replacing a firm that charged $5,700 per year for the same service. Two of these "scrub lists," as officials called them, were distributed to counties in the months before the election with orders to remove the voters named. Together the lists comprised nearly 1 percent of Florida?s electorate and nearly 3 percent of its African-American voters. Neither DBT nor the state conducted any further research to verify the matches. DBT, which frequently is hired by the F.B.I. to conduct manhunts, originally proposed using address histories and financial records to confirm the names, but the state declined the cross-checks. (11)
George W. Bush, second appointed president of the United States.
• 1979-83: Fifty Bush family investors and friends, led by uncle Jonathan, a New York Republican Party official and an investment manager, fork over $4.7 million to set up young Bush in a company called Arbusto. It's a flop, and in 1982 gets a new name: Bush Exploration.
• 1984: Spectrum 7 Corporation, an Ohio oil exploration outfit owned by Dubya's Yalie pal William DeWitt Jr., buys out Bush Exploration, setting up young Bush as CEO at $75,000 a year and giving him 1.1 million shares of the firm's stock. Another flop. The company's fortunes soon sink, with $400,000 in losses and a debt of $3 million.
• 1986: In the nick of time, Bush and partners merge the failing Spectrum with Harken Oil, a Dallas exploration company, with a $2 million stock purchase. Bush puts up about $500,000 and gets a $120,000 annual consulting fee along with $131,250 in stock options. Harken is a small outfit, looking for oil opportunities within the U.S. Then out of the blue comes Harvard Management Corporation, an investment adviser for Harvard University's endowment portfolio. It pumps millions into the venture.
• 1990: Although Harken has no international expertise, it gets the attention of the Bahrain National Oil Company, which unexpectedly appears on the scene and bypasses big oil's Amoco and Chevron to sign a production agreement with the little Texas concern. The contract grants Harken exclusive rights to what seems to be a promising offshore area squeezed between two productive tracts owned by Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The Wall Street Journal speculates Bahrain was trying to cozy up to Daddy Bush, who was plotting an assault on Iraq after Saddam Hussein seized Kuwait.
Bass Enterprises Production Company finances the Bahrain drilling with $25 million, and Harvard Management raises its investment. A couple of members of the Fort Worth Bass family have places on Team 100, an elite business group contributing to the Republican National Committee.
In June, Harken drills two dry holes in Bahrain. The future looks bleak. Dubya dumps two-thirds of his Harken holdings (212,140 shares), for $848,560. He uses some of this money to buy into the Texas Rangers baseball club. This is a lot of stock to dump on the market all at once, and brokers say it was purchased by an unnamed institutional investor.
That August, Harken posts a loss of $23 million.
• January 1991: Daddy Bush attacks Iraq.
• February 1991: Dubya, as the official in charge at Harken, reports his big stock sale to the SEC—eight months late.
• April 1991: The SEC begins an investigation into Harken dealings. Chairman Richard Breeden, who had been appointed by the senior Bush and served him as an economic policy adviser, hails from Baker & Botts, a big Texas oil law firm where he was a partner. Inside the SEC, James Doty, general counsel and the official in charge of any litigation that might come out of the Harken investigation, is another alumnus of Baker & Botts. And as a private attorney, before joining the government, Doty represented the younger Bush in matters related to Dubya's ownership of the Rangers.
• 1993: The SEC ends its Harken investigation following perfunctory interviews.
The good people of Baker & Botts continued looking out for Shrub. Since 1993, Breeden, Doty, and other lawyers there have given him $182,050 for his various political campaigns, making the firm one of his biggest supporters.(12)
Upon appointment as president, Bush appoints 6 Iran-contra defendants to his staff, (13) fills the upper levels of the White house and pentagon with senior members of the PNAC (14) including his speech writer, chief advisor, secretary of defense, and vice president. Uses the terrorist attacks of 9-11 (16) to illegally invade and occupy Iraq under the false pretense of imminent threat (15) and reaps billions for Cheney's Halliburton, Rumsfeld's Bechtel, and his own family's Carlyle group.

Don Rumsfeld developed his foreign policy in the early 1970s, under President Gerald Ford. It was bad then. It's worse now. BY JASON VEST; Washington-based journalist JASON VEST is a contributing editor to In These Times and Regardie's. Since Donald Rumsfeld's appointment as secretary of defense was announced on December 28, approbatory phrases have been the order of the day. The Washington Post cast him as "elder statesman," while The New York Times characterized him as a "tough-minded manager." At his January 11 confirmation hearing, the servile aria started by the press was taken up by the Senate Armed Services Committee: Save for a few pointed questions on fiscal oversight by Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona and Senator Robert Byrd, the West Virginia Democrat, Rumsfeld's hearing could have passed for a mannerly colloquy of academics discussing the future of defense. On January 20, moments after George W. Bush was sworn in, Donald Rumsfeld -- "Rummy," as he is known to his friends -- was confirmed by the Senate. To longtime defense policy observers and arms control advocates, watching the restoration of Rumsfeld to the Pentagon has been disconcerting. Though genuflected to by the Washington press corps and political establishment as a genteel graybeard, the real Rumsfeld may be, in fact, much closer to Darth Vader, both on defense issues and as a practitioner of politics. "The notion that he's a gray eminence," laments William Hartung, the World Policy Institute's veteran defense analyst and a longtime Rumsfeld watcher, "is, in large part, based on press laziness."

"I would not say that the future is necessarily less predictable than the past. I think the past was not predictable when it started.""We do know of certain knowledge that he [Osama Bin Laden] is either in Afghanistan, or in some other country, or dead.""We know where they are. Although Bush has immunized Rumsfeld and others from prosecution in the International Criminal Court, they could be tried in any country under the well-established principle of universal jurisdiction.

The primary reason that Rummy the Butcher, Dumya and The Dick won't be prosecuted is because they all enjoy the unequivocal support of corporate America. It's quite touching the way Alternet readers like to throw around "subpoena power" while naively ignoring what they already know: there is only ONE ultimate power in the US - BIG BIZ. If Exxon, Wal-Mart, Halliburton, Pfizer and Northrup say no then the answer is no - it's as simple as that. The US government and Big Biz have been in bed together for some time now and their grotesque progeny is a Prozac pushing, weapons dealing, Jaclyn Smith wearing pimp eating a Big Mac behind the wheel of a Hummer; and Bush, Cheney and Rummy created them. What makes you think they are going to turn on them now?

Donald Rumsfeld, the US defence secretary, sat on the board of a company which three years ago sold two light water nuclear reactors to North Korea - a country he now regards as part of the "axis of evil" and which has been targeted for regime change by Washington because of its efforts to build nuclear weapons.
Mr Rumsfeld was a non-executive director of ABB, a European engineering giant based in Zurich, when it won a $200m (£125m) contract to provide the design and key components for the reactors. The current defence secretary sat on the board from 1990 to 2001, earning $190,000 a year. He left to join the Bush administration.
(http://thinkprogress.org/2007/01/25/rumsfeld-consultant/) - RUMSFELD ISN'T GOING AWAY - Rumfeld Remains Defense Department ‘Consultant,’ Opens ‘Transition Office’ Near Pentagon
Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld "has left the Pentagon, but not the Defense Department." The Washington Times reports:
On Jan. 4, Mr. Rumsfeld opened a government-provided transition office in Arlington and has seven Pentagon-paid staffers working for him, a Pentagon official said.
The Pentagon lists Mr. Rumsfeld as a "nonpaid consultant," a status he needs in order to review secret and top-secret documents, the official said.
The Times reports that Rumsfeld has brought with him close adviser Stephen Cambone, a fierce advocate of the Iraq war and the chief planner of questionable interrogation tactics at military and CIA detention sites around the world.
Rumsfeld’s new office is reportedly raising eyebrows at the Pentagon:
The Pentagon official said former secretaries are entitled to a transition office to sort papers, some of which can be taken with them for a library, for archives or to write a book.
The transition office has raised some eyebrows inside the Pentagon. Some question the size of the staff, which includes two military officers and two enlisted men. They also ask why the sorting could not have been done from the time Mr. Rumsfeld resigned Nov. 8 to when he left the building Dec. 18.
Rumsfeld’s predecessors, William Cohen and William Perry, both returned to private life immediately after leaving the Defense Department. Cohen had "two military personnel…sort through his papers for about six weeks," while Perry had his papers mailed via compact disk to Stanford University.

Donald Rumsfeld is evil
Larry Johnson flags an excerpt from a Department of Defense press conference with Donald Rumsfeld and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Peter Pace. I'll snip out an even smaller bit of the excerpt, you don't even need to see the question being answered:
PACE: It is absolutely responsibility of every U.S. service member if they see inhumane treatment being conducted, to intervene, to stop it. . . .
RUMSFELD: I don't think you mean they have an obligation to physically stop it, it's to report it.
PACE: If they are physically present when inhumane treatment is taking place, sir, they have an obligation to try to stop it.

"The Justice Department investigation that criticized FBI agents for taking souvenirs from the World Trade Center site also found that Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and a high-ranking FBI official kept items from the Sept. 11 attack scenes.
"The final investigatory report said the Justice Department inspector general confirmed Rumsfeld 'has a piece of the airplane that flew into the Pentagon.'
"The Justice Department investigation also collected testimony that Pasquale D'Amuro, FBI Director Robert Mueller's executive assistant director for terrorism until last summer, asked a supervisory agent to 'obtain a half dozen items from the WTC debris so the items could be given to dignitaries.'"

Flying High: Rumsfeld in Baghdad in 2004

Newsweek
Nov. 20, 2006 issue - There weren't many people in the Pentagon brave enough to give bad news to Donald Rumsfeld. Jim Roche, though, was one. The Air Force secretary and his boss shared Chicago roots and Washington ties going back 30 years—and, like Rummy, the white-haired Roche had made a lot of money in business. In the fall of 2002 it was becoming clear inside the Pentagon that George W. Bush intended to invade Iraq. A worried Roche dragooned the then Army secretary, Thomas White, to join him for a frank talk with Rumsfeld, according to a knowledgeable source who asked for anonymity because he was describing a private conversation. With some trepidation, the pair marched up to Rummy's elaborate dark-paneled office in the E-Ring, the power corridor of the Pentagon. "Don, you do realize that Iraq could be another Vietnam?" Roche asked. Rumsfeld, a political survivor of the Watergate era whose main goal was to exorcise the ghost of Vietnam forever—restoring American power and prestige in the world—was outraged at the very suggestion. "Vietnam? You think you have to tell me about Vietnam?" Rumsfeld sputtered. "Of course it won't be Vietnam. We are going to go in, overthrow Saddam, get out. That's it." Then he waved them out of his office
Now Rumsfeld himself has been thrown out after six stormy years, a chastened if still-proud man who will spend the rest of his days grappling with the judgment of history. His tenure at the Pentagon is thick with irony. The squinty-eyed tough guy whom Bush once described as a "matinee idol," the podium wit who declared "I don't do quagmires," is now viewed as the author of one of the worst quagmires in American history. The "forward-leaning" ex-wrestler who wanted to project American strength abroad may now be blamed by historians for revealing the limits of American power—and weakening the nation's position in the critical Middle East.
When Rumsfeld arrived to take over the Pentagon for the second time in January 2001 he acted like a man on a mission. Rumsfeld came equipped with a glittering résumé: Princeton wrestling captain. Naval aviator. Congressman at 30. White House chief of staff at 42. Defense secretary at 43 (the youngest ever, way back in 1975). Fortune 500 CEO and turnaround specialist. And with 30 years of global experience, Rumsfeld had a clear vision for Defense. He wanted to draw down America's giant cold-war garrisons around the world and transform the U.S. military into a high-tech, "agile" force suited for expeditionary warfare around the globe
Rumsfeld actually achieved a good part of this vision. He elevated the role and size of Special Forces, turning them into a separate worldwide command. He gave Special Operations—the global SWAT teams of the 21st century—the lead in the war against terrorism. He changed the way the Army and Navy operate worldwide, making both services more nimble. Finally, Rumsfeld began a profound shift of America's basic military approach to threats abroad, away from the old requirement of fighting three wars simultaneously (for example, in North Korea, Europe and the Mideast) and toward a new force organized to face unknowable contingencies.
But much of that transformational work may be forgotten in the history books. Instead, largely thanks to Iraq, Rumsfeld will likely go down as an erratic and arrogant manager who sullied America's reputation by allowing interrogation abuses at Abu Ghraib and other U.S.-run detention centers abroad; who haughtily dismissed advice from U.S. generals and senators alike to put in enough troops (in part because he didn't want another Vietnam), and who preferred to deny the reality of the Iraqi insurgency rather than confront it. Bush, in announcing Rumsfeld's departure last week, called him "a superb leader in a time of change." But that is a distinctly minority view in Washington, where it is hard to find any defenders of Rumsfeld, either Democrat or Republican. "He will be seen as the Robert McNamara of this generation," says retired Lt. Gen. William Odom, referring to the Vietnam-era Defense chief who has spent the last 40 years trying live down the carnage that occurred on his watch

by Maureen Farrell
"I am writing this from Frederick, Maryland. I've just been filming, for Channel 4, a press conference in which the son of a CIA officer who died in suspicious circumstances presented his evidence that vice-president Dick Cheney and defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld were, in 1975, when part of the Gerald Ford administration, involved in a cover-up of the events surrounding his father's death. The press conference was due to have been two weeks ago, but when the son, Eric Olson, called the New York Times to invite them, they said, "Whoa! Do you really want to release such complex information to a bunch of journalists who'll probably screw it up? Let us do it properly instead."
I must try this ruse sometime. It worked on Olson. He postponed the press conference. The New York Times finally called him and said, "We missed Watergate because we thought it was just a small, unimportant break-in." What they seemed to mean was they believed his evidence but they couldn't decide if it was a huge, government-toppling White House cover-up of a murder, or a small, unimportant White House cover-up of a murder, the kind of stuff that doesn't mean much.. . "
-- Jon Ronson, The Guardian, August 17, 2002
In the summer of 2003 (back when President Bush was renouncing the use of torture [New Yorker]) author Douglas Valentine reminded us why blind trust in any government official or agency has historically been a bad idea. "The war on terror, and its ‘homeland security’ counterpart are flip sides of the same coin," he wrote. "They are the same ideology applied to foreign and domestic policy. But like CIA agent Alden Pyle in The Quiet American, their evil intention is wrapped in a complex matrix of transparent lies." [CounterPunch.org]
Drawing uncomfortable conclusions about the Bush administration’s secret agenda, Valentine also pointed to Miramax's Vietnam-era love story which had been put on hold following Sept. 11 due to its "anti-American" content -- a content that wasn’t so much anti-American as anti-CIA. "Horrendous acts were, for propaganda purposes, often made to look as if they had been committed by the enemy," Valentine wrote, of the CIA’s brutal underhanded activities that both the Quiet American and history underscore.
More than 40 years ago, another film spawned similar qualms. United Artists was nervous about releasing The Manchurian Candidate because, as screen writer George Axelrod put it, "They didn't want to make it because they thought that it was un-American."
A wildly imaginative political thriller which sprang from Richard Condon’s 1959 best-selling novel, The Manchurian Candidate is the story of a brainwashed military veteran who unwittingly becomes a programmed assassin to further the political ambitions of his cold and manipulative mother. "Ironically," the Washington Post revealed, "it was a phone call from President Kennedy -- made at [Frank] Sinatra's request -- that persuaded Arthur Krim, then head of United Artists and also the national finance chairman of the Democratic Party, to change his mind and start production.
(An additional irony, which may be more curious than telling but is entirely in keeping with the tone of the film, is that it was [director John] Frankenheimer who drove Robert Kennedy to the hotel in California the night he was assassinated.)" [Washington Post]

By Tony Paterson
Last Updated: 1:45am GMT 09/02/2003
The American defence chief Donald Rumsfeld has been disowned by his anti-war relatives in north Germany, reports Tony Paterson
The Rumsfelds of Weyhe-Sudweyhe, an unremarkable red-brick suburb of Bremen, were once proud of their long-lost cousin, America's secretary of state for defence - but no longer.
Like many Germans, they are appalled by Donald Rumsfeld's hawkish attitude to military action against Saddam Hussein. About 18,000 anti-war demonstrators marched through Munich yesterday to protest at his presence at an international security conference - chanting slogans such as "No room for Rumsfeld!"
"We think it is dreadful that Donald Rumsfeld is out there pushing for a war against Iraq," Karin Cecere (nee Rumsfeld), 59, said from her two-up, two-down home last week. "We are embarrassed to be related to him," she told The Telegraph. Margarete Rumsfeld, her 85-year-old mother, was equally dismissive: "We don't have much to do with him anymore. Nowadays he's just the American defence secretary to us, but for God's sake, he'd better not start a war," she added.
They used to feel differently. Twenty-five years ago, the German Rumsfelds were thrilled to welcome Mr Rumsfeld - then the United States ambassador to Nato stationed in Brussels - into their extended family.
Like many Americans keen to trace their European antecedents, Mr Rumsfeld had made contact with the Weyhe-Sudweyhe Rumsfelds, a branch of the family with whom his near relations had lost touch since his great-great-grandfather, Heinrich, emigrated to America during the 19th century.
Mr Rumsfeld paid three visits to Dietrich Rumsfeld, a bricklayer, and his wife Margarete in their small artisan's cottage. On the last occasion, they greeted him with chicken soup and roast pork for lunch "It was a really pleasant family gathering, almost like a wedding," said Mrs Cecere last week. "Mr Rumsfeld seemed a genuinely nice man. It is such a shame about his war ambitions."
She had grown up, she said, during the Second World War and her instincts were to search for a solution to the deadlock with Saddam that did not involve military action. "I was born in the war and saw its aftermath, and my mother went through it," she said. "There must be a peaceful way of solving the Iraq problem."
This change of heart over their Rumsfeld cousin reflects the mood in Germany. More than 60 per cent of Germans oppose a war and the US defence secretary has become a hate figure for the country's peace movement.
His desire to topple Saddam by force is at odds with the Social Democrat-led government of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, which is directly opposed to war in Iraq.
Even before his arrival in Germany yesterday, Mr Rumsfeld had faced fierce criticism from senior German government officials for describing France and Germany as "old Europe".
Last week he caused further outrage when he told the House Armed Services Committee in Washington that Germany, like "Libya and Cuba", had indicated that it "did not want to help in any way" the international efforts to tackle Iraq.
The German government attempted to play down the criticism. "Mr Rumsfeld is like he is. I can say no more," said Joschka Fischer, the foreign minister. Other senior politicians were more explicit. "Rumsfeld has flipped out - his behaviour is impossible," said Klaus Kinkel, a Free Democrat and former foreign minister.
Some Germans have misgivings, however, that their country's hard line against war with Iraq may backfire - especially if, as widely predicted, France drops its own objections at the last minute and joins in military action.
Angela Merkel, the leader of the Christian Democrats, yesterday became the first opposition figure to call for Germany to become involved. "If it is impossible to solve the situation peacefully then Germany has to take part in a military operation," she said, accusing Mr Schröder's government of "spreading ill-will and confusion" in Nato.
In Munich Mr Rumsfeld sought to dispel the furore over his own comments by claiming that he had intended the phrase "old Europe" as a term of affection, like that of "old friends".
He admitted that he was sometimes inclined to be blunt - but blamed it on his German roots. "My family originates from northern Germany. People there are well known for their direct and clear manner of speaking."
His explanation did not impress most Germans - least of all his cousins in Weyhe-Sudweyhe. Mrs Cecere said: "We're all in favour of plain-speaking but our relation goes just too far."

Why Dick Cheney Deserves an "F" in History
By Robert E. May
Mr. May, is a professor of History at Purdue University and a writer for the History News Service.
In a critique of John Kerry's presidential candidacy, Vice President Dick Cheney invoked historical memory to mock Kerry's call for a "more sensitive" war on terrorism. Cheney told a Dayton, Ohio, gathering on Aug. 12 that none of America's victories in war can be attributed to "being sensitive."To support his point, he summoned some of the heavy guns of America's wartime leadership: Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt, Generals U.S. Grant, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Douglas MacArthur. It turns out that Cheney is dead wrong. It was their very sensitivity in conducting war that made Lincoln, Roosevelt, Grant and Eisenhower great wartime leaders. Let's start with Lincoln. In the Civil War's early going, the Lincoln administration restrained its armies from all-out war in the hope that conciliatory policies might induce the Confederate states to rejoin the Union, or might at least ensure that the four border slave states still in the Union (Kentucky, Delaware, Maryland and Missouri) would not secede also. Not only were orders issued for the protection of civilian property in the South, but Lincoln, always "sensitive" to the knowledge that effective war-making means much more than simply engaging the enemy, countermanded emancipation efforts by Union generals, despite his own hatred of slavery. Lincoln overruled Gen. John C. Fremont's declaration freeing the slaves of active enemy supporters in Missouri, a particularly telling move, given Fremont's stature as a former presidential candidate of Lincoln's party. Lincoln shrewdly waited to issue his Emancipation Proclamation until Union armies had substantially secured the four border states.Cheney could learn much from Lincoln's sensitivity, as he presses today's war on terrorism, especially among Muslim populations who regard the United States with hostility. Not only did Lincoln manage to keep four slave states in the Union, gaining control of invaluable industrial and agricultural resources within their borders, but approximately 300,000 slave-state residents, including many thousands from states in the Confederacy, actually fought for the Union army.Grant's record also reveals the baseless nature of Cheney's claim. When Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia surrendered to Grant near the end of the war, Grant allowed Lee and his men to return to their homes on parole with their horses and provided the Confederates with rations. Rather than unnecessarily humiliate his Confederate enemies, Grant "sensitively" allowed Lee and his fellow officers to keep their side arms, even though the Civil War was still being waged by Confederate forces in other locales. In World War II, the United States also fought more sensitively than Cheney suggests, despite the American record of relentless saturation bombing and resort to nuclear weapons, as well as the savage nature of much of the fighting in the Pacific against Japan. President Roosevelt talked about "total victory" in wartime pronouncements and demanded the "unconditional surrender" of Germany, Japan and Italy. Yet to end the fighting with Italy and obtain Italy's collaboration with the Allies, he abandoned his tough policy. Italy surrendered under an elaborate protocol from which the term "unconditional" had been intentionally removed.Cheney also misrepresents Gen. Eisenhower, one of the most sensitive and successful coalition commanders of all time. Cheney forgets that Ike diverted U.S. and British forces approaching the German capital of Berlin from the west in 1945 to avert the possibility of an accidental collision with allied Soviet forces moving in on Berlin from the east. He also forgets that to accommodate their British allies' strategic interests (as well as for logistical reasons), Eisenhower and other U.S. military leaders deferred from 1942 to 1944 their desired cross-channel invasion against Hitler. Successful coalition warfare requires restraint and compromise -- "sensitivity," in Cheney's terms. Many other chapters in our military history make the same point that successful commanders wage war by carefully weighing their options. For instance, Gen. Winfield Scott's American army was able to conquer the enemy capital, Mexico City, in 1847, effectually ending the U.S.-Mexican War, because Scott's campaign had been based on tactical finesse and restraint toward enemy civilians. Scott's army frequently bypassed enemy strongholds, thus isolating them, and marched under strict orders to protect civilian property, especially Catholic churches. As a result, Scott's vastly outnumbered forces of fewer than 7,000 effective troops never faced a mass uprising. Unlike U.S.commanders in Iraq today, Scott didn't offend the religious sensibilities of native peoples.Only Douglas MacArthur merits Cheney's praise as being "insensitive." But did this make him effective? MacArthur almost lost the Korean War by his insensitive decision to cross the 38th parallel into North Korea, despite strong signals from Chinese leaders that they would enter the war on North Korea's side if that happened. Chinese troops nearly drove U.S. forces off the entire Korean Peninsula before the situation stabilized. It's not surprising that the vice president should sample history for political advantage in a heated campaign. But his remarks suggest that his historical understanding is superficial. If Cheney's views reflect the Bush administration's perspective as a whole, they may go far to explain why the current administration has foundered so noticeably in Iraq, Afghanistan and other venues of its "war on terrorism."

May deserves an I for not reading modern historians (#40990)by rick matlick on September 1, 2004 at 7:03 AM
Mr. May would do well to read Victor Davis Hanson (Soul of Battle) and Walter Russell Mead (Special Providence). The sensitivity he lauds actually cost millions of lives. It took the definitely insensitive Sherman and Patton to actually end the wars sooner. The shorter the war the less people die. Uncle Billy and Blood and Guts knew this and were ruthless in engaging the enemy while suffering less casualties than any other units.
-MacArthur could be Sensitive, too. (#40876)by Jonathan Dresner on August 30, 2004 at 1:41 PM
Actually, MacArthur's greatest moments were acts of great cultural sensitivity. First, he realized that Japanese battle tactics made 'island-hopping' more efficient than a more traditional 'clean-sweep' progress. Second, and more importantly, his handling of the Occupation of Japan was a marvelous mixture of radical insensitivity (the dramatic changes made to Japanese politics and law) leveraged with great cultural subtlety (using existing Japanese institutions and attitudes including the Emperor). So Cheney gets no credit at all.....

TVNL COMMENT, October, 2005: While the American news media finally discovered that Dick Cheney might not be the nicest person in the world, we would like to remind you that we have been warning people about this man since early 2003. Cheney and his PNAC warriors have taken control of US foreign policy, intelligence services and military so that they can proceed with their agenda. His fingerprints are all over the events of 9/11 and the motive for this was so nicely stated by his organization when they described how a "new Pearl Harbor" would the only way anyone would support such an agenda. BEFORE YOU DENY ANY OF THIS AND DEFEND THIS DEVIL INCARNATE, DO SOME RESEARCH!
Cheney’s Energy Meetings, Iraq Oil & 9/11 - A TVNL Reminder
OF SPECIAL NOTE: ‘Cheney cabal hijacked US foreign policy’ - Vice-President Dick Cheney and a handful of others had hijacked the government's foreign policy apparatus, deciding in secret to carry out policies that had left the US weaker and more isolated in the world, the top aide to former Secretary of State Colin Powell claimed on Wednesday. - In a scathing attack on the record of President George W. Bush, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, chief of staff to Mr Powell until last January, said: "What I saw was a cabal between the vice-president of the United States, Richard Cheney, and the secretary of defense, Donald Rumsfeld, on critical issues that made decisions that the bureaucracy did not know were being made. - "Now it is paying the consequences of making those decisions in secret, but far more telling to me is America is paying the consequences." - Mr Wilkerson said former president George H.W. Bush "one of the finest presidents we have ever had" understood how to make foreign policy work. In contrast, he said, his son was "not versed in international relations and not too much interested in them either".
Former Head Of Star Wars Program Says Cheney Main 911 Suspect - Dr. Robert M. Bowman, Lt. Col., USAF, ret., the former head of the Star Wars missile defense program under Presidents Ford and Carter has gone public to say that the official version of 9/11 is a conspiracy theory and his main suspect for the architect of the attack is Vice President Dick Cheney. - He said it is plausible that the entire chain of military command were unaware of what was taking place and were used as tools by the people pulling the strings behind the attack.
-----more on 9/11 significance
Some of these drill were scheduled for later in the year but Dick Cheney rescheduled them and made sure that they all took place on the same day. This was unprecedented.
The war games involved live fly exercises, and electronic drills where fake blips were placed on radar screens. Cheney was in charge of a communications system that superseded those of the FAA, NORAD and NEADS. Some of the drills possibly included remote control planes.
Dick Cheney is member of the Project for a New American Century. This is an organization of political ideologues (neocons) who wrote detailed plans than included invading Afghanistan, Iraq & the middle east. Their goal is ensure America is the only super power in the world. You can research their work for it is public information. Members of PNAC include Donald Rumsfeld and more than ten members of the Bush foreign & defense policy teams. In their documentation they openly state that the public and Congress would not accept their agenda and that the transition would be a slow one "absent a catalyzing and catastrophic event like a New Pearl Harbor!"
Cheney was in a position to have the air defense agencies stand down.
From from September 2000 to June 2001, 67 planes steered off course. All 67 times our air defense systems worked as they should, and interceptors were launched. You may remember this happening when Payne Stewart and his crew died in flight. On September 11th, 2001, when Dick Cheney was running his war games, 4 jet airliners were supposedly hijacked, and all our systems that have worked flawlessly 67 times that year, failed. Coincidence?
While these facts seem to incriminate Cheney, all you can do within reason is ask these questions:
Was Cheney in a position to have the defense systems stand down?
Did Cheney, a member of PNAC, a group who expressed the fact that their agenda would be better accepted if we had a "new Pearl Harbor", have a motive? Did he benefit from the events?
Could the events have been an accident? Could the drills have gone bad?
Why did the 9/11 Commission Report omit the information about the drills, making only 1 mention of them in a single footnote. The report only mentioned 1 drill, and falsely described it as a drill to defend against Russian Bombers. In the age of ICBMs, are we to believe that we have to practice defending the nation against Russian bombers in the north eastern portion of the US?
Why have the news media neglected to inform the public of Cheney’s actions that day?
Why did Bush and Cheney insist on being questioned by the commission together, without being taped, without taking an oath and with no records kept?
If you did not know this information, you have to ask yourself why it is not common knowledge? You also have to ask what else don’t you know?
In the years following the event, have you ever heard from the people who you were told committed these acts? Or, have you only been told why this happened by the people who want you to believe their story.
Use your common sense. Do you think the global intelligence powers failed this badly? Do you think men who could barely pilot a 2 seat plane can navigate across several states and find their target? Are you that gullible? Have some self respect, and think before you believe what you are told.

Rice is the first African American woman, second African American (after Powell), and second woman (after Madeleine Albright) to serve as Secretary of State.
Condoleezza Rice was Bush's National Security Advisor during his first term (2001–2005). Before joining the Bush administration, she was a Professor of political science at Stanford University where she served as Provost from 1993 to 1999.

by Catherine Austin FittsFormer Assistant Secretary of Housing, Bush I
Hon. Condoleezza Rice National Security AdvisorThe White House1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NWWashington, DC 20500
April 9, 2004
Dear Ms. Rice:
I am writing to communicate four points regarding your testimony yesterday under oath before the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States.
Point #1: You are a liar.
Attorney General Ashcroft sits on the National Security Council. Warned by his FBI security detail, the head of law enforcement for the United States knew to avoid commercial airlines on September 11, 2001.
It was your job as National Security Advisor to make sure that the people who flew on American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, United Airlines Flight 93 and American Airlines Flight 77 had the benefit of the same warnings as those they paid to protect us.
You knew. You kept silent. They died.
You had numerous warnings of the risks of 9-11 – sufficient to let the American people know and use their best judgment as to how to protect themselves from a possible attack. It was your job as National Security Advisor to make sure that the people in the South Tower of the World Trade Center had the knowledge they needed to evacuate their building upon seeing the North Tower hit by a plane.
You knew. You kept silent. They died.
Point #2: Your motives are transparent.
The World Trade Center is in the heart of New York City – one of the great financial capitals of the world. The Pentagon is in the heart of Washington -- the appropriation and accounting capital for the US federal budget and credit and the US Treasury – the largest issuer of securities in the world.
Unlike many other terrorist attacks, these attacks killed people whose family, friends and neighbors understand how these financial systems work. Victim families, friends and the residents of the communities directly harmed can calculate who made money on 9-11 profiteering. They can trace the flow of money into the 2004 Presidential campaign coffers from the profits your supporters made as a result of 9-11 profiteering. They can calculate how 9-11 profiteering connects to the financing and silence of corporate media.
Those personally impacted and the global researchers they network with have the intellectual power and personal courage to ask and answer, "Cui Bono?" (Who Benefits?) They understand that your success as National Security Advisor is as a direct result of your failure to stop 9-11. They can see how your lies about 9-11 made money for the investment syndicate that put you in power and for the buyers of US Treasury securities who are so richly paid to finance the US military, intelligence and enforcement apparatus and the defense contractors and oil interests it serves.
All the campaign ads in the world can not now convince the American people that you have their best interests at heart.
Point #3: You are going down.
The richest and most powerful people in the world pay for performance. They pay you to make the US governmental apparatus look legitimate while they use it to centralize economic and political power. That means they need liars who are better at lying than you.
The myth that you had no idea that Americans deserved to be warned about the risks of flying or planes being used as weapons is now in the dust heap with the notion that the United States attacked Iraq and our soldiers are dying to protect us from Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.
Your lies of 9-11 – like your lies about the Iraqi war – have been profitable for the military-banking complex you represent. These lies, however, have not misled the crowd. The American people and global citizens are looking for the truth. We demand the changes that will give meaning and honor to those who died on 9-11 and in the ensuing wars. We demand an end to further bloodshed. We demand a refund of all that you and your backers have stolen from those of us who remain alive.
Point #4: You are guilty of criminal gross negligence.
If you want to catch a terrorist today, you need look no further than your own mirror.
Many Americans gather this weekend to give thanks that Jesus died for our sins and gave us the covenant of grace. In the spirit of our Lord's crucifixion and resurrection, may God have mercy on your soul.
Sincerely Yours,
Catherine Austin FittsFormer Assistant Secretary of Housing, Bush IPresidentSolari, Inc.\

---pnac is a neoconservative thinktank founded in 1997. let me break it down. neo= new, conservative= one(group) who follows doctrines contrived from the relatively bullminded mentality that things should remain the way they are, i.e, america should remain the most powerful nation state on the planet, whites should remain the sole adherents of ultimate power, gas should remain the dominant fuel source on the planet, the draft should remain innoprative;, one being conserved, restrained, placid, but strong. i.e, the sleeping giant, that all americas should love, but now, a new doctrine emerged following the breakdown of the soviet union and the potential rise of china. neo-conservativism=maintain that american remains as it is, the most powerful, most loved, etc, BUT,.... by whatever means necessary. the very notion is completely redundant and backwards. its like saying, i'm a basketball player, since i'm lebron james, i'm the best, we're the best, i see the europeans getting WAAY too good, so, let me consolidate my base and think again. to be the best, NEO-basketball player, i'll change the rules and make sure no other basketball players can play in an arena like the one i play in. soo, i love basketballs ethical boundaries, hell, i'm already strong and built like a friggin oxe, but you know what, screw-it, lets legalize steroid like drugs ... who cares what ppl think, its for the good of the NBA. ok, now what? lets jeopardize other players and take over all their key skill points, so we flatten the tires of all the players around us, say that its the other euro teams that did it as a joke, or against us, of course, its absurd and they didn't do it, but the NBA said it, so lets go, we go and sabotage their entire league, score one. score two, game. its similar to that, of course, but much more sinister and deep rooted. in fact, its so deep rooted, its almost comical. i mean, to tell you the truth, sitting here now, knowing what i know, i'd think if i were you, 'what a friggin KOOK! becuase the things your saying is.... absolutely... its... its... I CAN'T EVEN THINK OF A WAY TO SAY IT'. i should slap myself. ... but i'm not... because this is true, and the gov't is already 'slapping' us with all the necessary lies and propoganda to get us to go along with their own plans. Plans that they probably developed whilst sipping tea or coffee, sharing plates full of caviar, talking about stock options, hedges, mutuals, bank loans and which politician made a fool of himself insinuating that lowering the interest rates would help his poor county. I ask, where do these white guys come up with the notion that they can completely decide the course of humanity for the foreseeable future. I mean, come on, they probably see themselves as doing this for the common good... right? its all misplaced ideas in the hands of the powerful and wealthy...right?... no.. sorry, but have you ever heard of a satanist? how about cabalist? ok.. you know this one, how about gangs? gang memberss, the ones who go around shooting up "foo's" who step in2 dey coh'nah, o' da muda fukkin block"... i know you can identify with that, ok, wouldnt you say the main characterisitincs of a gang is, undue violence against all the people of those who disrespect, steal from, hurt; both accidental and intended, or are simply not members of their territory? AND, well placed gang symbols and signs posted onto every visible corner of every single square inch of space you're likely to look towards....well .... before i get to deep into this, i'd like to say, I DIDNT COME UP WITH THIS STUFF! its said that the real world is often much stranger than science fiction, and this shit my friends, pushes that notion to extreme heights.
ok, here it is, you know that starbucks coffee cup? that dollar bill triangle? the aol symbol? all that? what if i told you its gang symbols? sent to identify to other possible members their association. if you 'fukk" wit dem, dey gonna buss a cap in yo ass"... and what type of caps? well, first they'll destroy your credibility, just try getting that job at that office you were so excited about when they put out letters to any and all those in power, who know those in power, who know those in places, who know people who own businesses, who control their board of directors who knows the boss thats friends with your boss, who tells you what the heck to do.... how do you plan on getting a job when they send a letter to him telling him the incident the two of you face.... that's his pal, his..homee. his... roll dog, who puts the same symbols up (satanic symbol of starbucks coffee), (notorious bill gates , he's smarter than you can imagine, and he graduated from harvard, i dont know about skull and bones, ill research, but he knows things and he's a BIIIG member of their gang) i won't get into his venture to help all those poor people, but i just hope you get the jist.

The Rockefeller family, founded by John Davison Rockefeller (1839-1937) ("Senior") and his brother William Rockefeller (1841-1922), is an American industrial, banking, and philanthropic family of French-German-American origin that made the world's largest private fortune in the oil business during the late 19th century, primarily through the Standard Oil Company.[1] The family is also known for its long association with and financial interest in the Chase Manhattan Bank, now JP Morgan Chase.

---hey, did you know bush and kerry were cousins?
(http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/03/04/politics/main604163.shtml) - Bush, Kerry & Hefner: Odd Cousins
CBS) By David Paul Kuhn, CBSNews.com Chief Political Writer
President George W. Bush and Sen. John Kerry are related. Well, sort of. They're ninth cousins, twice removed. So what's a little competition between family? The two presidential contenders also share a widely known common relative, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, who is the ninth cousin of both men (the number nine is a coincidence). Twice removed from Mr. Bush, Hefner is a slightly closer relation to Kerry, only once removed. "Well I feel closer to Senator Kerry," Hefner chuckled, over the phone from the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. "You know I'm an 11th generation direct descendent of William Bradford, who came over on the Mayflower, a direct descendent of a puritan," Hefner continued proudly, finding no irony in the fact. "I suppose that it is not a big surprise but it is certainly unique to be a relation to both candidates." Previous research released last month found that Mr. Bush and his de facto Democratic challenger were 16th cousins. Now the two candidates expected to compete in one of the bitterest and certainly longest general elections in decades are nearly twice as close as first thought. Like brothers, more or less; well, more less than more. "You never know, they may be closer, this is only what has been connected so far," said Bruce Harrison, who heads a group called Millisecond Publishing which puts out a line of ancestral history CDs from Waimea, Hawaii. "I hope it means that people will be nicer to each other and you always hope for a nicer campaign."

Russert: You were both in Skull and Bones, the secret society.
President Bush: It's so secret we can't talk about it.
Russert: What does that mean for America? The conspiracy theorists are going to go wild.
President Bush: I'm sure they are. I don't know. I haven't seen the (unintel) yet. (Laughs)
Russert: Number 322.

my own personal opinion is that he's a fake and an idiot, or, he's got really good sources and is completely immersed into the thought of relating his sources information to theology.
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_robertson#_note-63) - Books
Robertson's books have been both successful and controversial. The Secret Kingdom, Answers to 100 of Life's Most Probing Questions, and The New World Order were each in their respective year of publication the number one religious book in America. [citation needed]
Robertson's tome The New World Order was described as a 'catch all for conspiracy theories' by Christian academic Don Wilkey:
Pat Robertson’s work, NEW WORLD ORDER, is a catch all for conspiracy theories. It combines the paranoia of the Old Right with modern versions. A summary of Robertson’s book is found on page 177 in which Pat says a conspiracy has existed in the world working through Freemasonry and a secret Order of the Illuminati, a group combining Masons and Jewish Bankers.[6]
Ephraim Radner also accuses Robertson of espousing anti-semitic beliefs in the same book:
In his published writings, especially his 1991 book The New World Order, Pat Robertson has propagated theories about a worldwide Jewish conspiracy. Michael Land raised the issue in February in the New York Times Book Review, and in April Jacob Heilbrun, writing in the New York Review of Books, cited chapter and verse of Robertson's borrowings from well-known anti-Semitic works.[7]
Global warming
In 2006 Robertson became a global warming "convert." One source attributes this conversion to the 2006 North American heat wave.[8] On August 3, 2006, he said on his 700 Club show:
But I tell you stay in doors ladies and gentleman. Stay cool. Get fans or whatever. And the poor, they need emergency fans and ice to cool down — the number of people dead. I have not been one who believed in the global warming. But I tell you, they are making a convert out of me as these blistering summers. They have broken heat records in a number of cities already this year and broken all-time records and it is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air. We really need to address the burning of fossil fuels. If we are contributing to the destruction of the planet we need to do [something] about it.
As recently as October of 2005, Robertson (then a disbeliever in global warming), accused the National Association of Evangelicals of teaming up with "far left environmentalists" in stating that global warming was caused by humans and needed to be mitigated.[3]
Now, however, Robertson's current position on global warming puts him at odds with President George Bush who pulled out of the international Kyoto Protocol in 2001, which sets limits on emissions to curb global warming.[4] Robertson is viewed by one million viewers and often sets the conservative political agenda on national issues[citation needed].
Hugo Chávez
On the August 22, 2005 broadcast of The 700 Club, Robertson said of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, "I don't know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we're trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It's a whole lot cheaper than starting a war, and I don’t think any oil shipments will stop." Robertson also said that Chávez was "going to make Venezuela a launching pad for communist infiltration and Muslim extremism all over the continent" and called the elected leader an "out-of-control dictator... a dangerous enemy to our south, controlling a huge pool of oil that could hurt us very badly."[28]
Assassinations of heads of state have been against U.S. policy since an executive order against them was issued in 1976; in response, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said that "our department doesn't do that kind of thing." Bernardo Álvarez, Venezuela's ambassador to the U.S., demanded a stronger condemnation from the White House and that the United States "respect our country and its president."
On the August 24 edition of The 700 Club, Robertson asserted that he hadn't actually called for Chávez's assassination, but that there were other ways of "taking him out", such as having special forces carry out a kidnapping. Robertson explicitly denied having used the word "assassination", though the word "assassinate" was present in his initial statement.[29]HYPERLINK \l "_note-mediamattersassass"[28] Later that day, he issued a written statement in which he said, "Is it right to call for assassination? No, and I apologize for that statement. I spoke in frustration that we should accommodate the man who thinks the U.S. is out to kill him". However, he continued to justify his original stance on the potential threat Chávez posed to U.S. interests.[30]
On Sunday, August 28, 2005, Chávez called on the U.S. Justice Department to investigate the matter: "My government is going to take legal action in the United States," he said in a televised speech. "If the U.S. government does not take the necessary steps, we will denounce the U.S. government at the United Nations and the Organization of American States".[31]
On February 2, 2006 edition of Hannity and Colmes, Pat Robertson once again called for Chavez's assassination. When Colmes asked Robertson "Do you want him taken out?", Robertson replied "Not now, but one day, one day, one day."[32]
2007 terror attack prediction
On January 2, 2007, during the 700 Club show, Robertson said that God spoke to him and told him that "mass killings" were to come during 2007, due to a terrorist attack on the United States. He added "The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."[66]
- (http://www.geocities.com/capitolhill/7027/patrobertson.html) - "When I said during my presidential bid that I would only bring Christians and Jews into the government, I hit a firestorm. `What do you mean?' the media challenged me. `You're not going to bring atheists into the government? How dare you maintain that those who believe in the Judeo-Christian values are better qualified to govern America than Hindus and Muslims?' My simple answer is, `Yes, they are.'"
-from Pat Robertson's "The New World Order," page 218.
Pat's Mass-Murdering Friends
That's right, even Pat Robertson has friends. Three of them include the now-deceased dictator of Zaire Mobutu Sese Seko (also known as the Great Leopard), Jorge Serrano, former dictator of Guatemala, and Frederick Chiluba, the ruler of Zambia.
Mobutu was a sadistic, murderous, dictator who kept his country's people in poverty while he became one the richest men in the world. He could have cured all of his nation's ills with a personal check. Under his rule, Zaire was a country with very little personal freedom; public demonstrations were illegal, journalists were murdered by the state, and most religious groups were banned. The US State Department banned Mobutu from the country after he applied for a visa to come to Washington and improve his image.
Why would Pat support such a man? In a word, money. Zaire is a resource-rich country, and Pat saw an opportunity to partner with Mobutu to start a diamond mining operation. Pat started a company called the African Development Company, and began shipping diamond mining equipment to Zaire using the non-profit CBN's Operation Blessing aircraft. Check out the news page for more on this. Meanwhile, he also tried to get the State Department to lift the ban on Mobutu's visa. Many people tried to get Robertson to stop his support of Mobutu, but he refused. Instead, he became very friendly with Mobutu; at one point, he flew to Zaire on Mobutu's jet, took in a cruise on his yacht, and dined at the presidential mansion. Fortunately enough, the ADC was a failure, and Mobutu is now dead after being deposed by a rebellion.
Robertson's greed and fanaticism have led him to acquaint himself with a strange bunch. It is apparent that he will befriend anyone who can either make him some money or supports his theocratic goals. How Pat can on the one hand say that he doesn't want a theocracy, and then call a theocracy a model for the world is beyond me.
---free masons
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry) - Freemasonry is a fraternal organization whose membership is held together by shared moral and metaphysical ideals and—in most of its branches—by a constitutional declaration of belief in a Supreme Being.[1]
The fraternity uses the metaphor of operative stonemasons' tools and implements, against the allegorical backdrop of the building of the Temple of King Solomon, to convey what is most generally defined as "a system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols."[2]
While it has often been called a "Secret Society", it is more correct to say that it is an esoteric society, in that certain aspects are private;[3] From many quarters, Freemasons have stated that Freemasonry has, in the 21st century, become less a secret society and more of a "society with secrets."[4]HYPERLINK \l "_note-2"[5]HYPERLINK \l "_note-YQA"[6] Most modern Freemasons regard the traditional concern over secrecy as a demonstration of their ability to keep a promise[7] and a concern over the privacy of their own affairs.[8] "Lodge meetings, like meetings of many other social and professional associations, are private occasions open only to members."[9]HYPERLINK \l "_note-5"[10] The private aspects of modern Freemasonry deal with the modes of recognition amongst members and elements within the ritual.[11]HYPERLINK \l "_note-YQA"[6]
While there have been many disclosures and exposés dating as far back as the eighteenth century, Freemasons caution that these often lack the proper context for true understanding, may be outdated for various reasons,[12] or could be outright hoaxes on the part of the author.[9] Freemasons are proud of their heritage and are happy to share it, offering spokesmen, briefings for the media, and providing talks to interested groups upon request.[9]
Political opposition
See also: Anti-Masonry and Freemasonry under totalitarian regimes
Freemasonry has long been a target associated with the New World Order and other "agents", such as the Illuminati, seen by conspiracy theorists as either bent on world domination or already secretly in control of world politics. Historically it has attracted criticism - and suppression - from both the politically extreme right (e.g. Nazi Germany)[54]HYPERLINK \l "_note-39"[55] and the extreme left (e.g. the former Communist states in Eastern Europe). The Fraternity has encountered both applause for "founding", and opposition for supposedly thwarting, liberal democracy (such as the United States of America).
In some countries anti-Masonry is often related to anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism. Professor Andrew Prescott, of the University of Sheffield, writes: "Since at least the time of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, anti-semitism has gone hand in hand with anti-masonry, so it is not surprising that allegations that 11 September was a Zionist plot have been accompanied by suggestions that the attacks were inspired by a masonic world order."[56]
In 1799 English Freemasonry almost came to a halt due to Parliamentary proclamation. In the wake of the French Revolution, the Unlawful Societies Act, 1799 banned any meetings of groups that required their members to take an oath or obligation.[57] The Grand Masters of both the Moderns and the Antients Grand Lodges called on the Prime Minister William Pitt, (who was not a Freemason) and explained to him that Freemasonry was a supporter of the law and lawfully constituted authority and was much involved in charitable work. As a result Freemasonry was specifically exempted from the terms of the Act, provided that each Private Lodge's Secretary placed with the local "Clerk of the Peace" a list of the members of his Lodge once a year.[57] This continued until 1967 when the obligation of the provision was rescinded by Parliament.[57] Regular Freemasonry inserted into its core ritual a formal obligation: to be quiet and peaceable citizens, true to the lawful government of the country in which they live, and not to countenance disloyalty or rebellion.[19] A Freemason makes a further obligation, before being made Master of his Lodge, to pay a proper respect to the civil magistrates.[19] The words may be varied across Grand Lodges, but the sense in the obligation taken is always there in regular Freemasonry.
Freemasonry in America faced political pressure following the disappearance of anti-Masonic agitator William Morgan in 1826. Reportage of the "Morgan Affair" helped fuel an Anti-Masonic movement, culminating in the formation of a short lived Anti-Masonic Party which fielded candidates for the Presidential elections of 1828 and 1832.
Even in modern democracies, Freemasonry is still sometimes accused of being a network where individuals engage in cronyism, using their Masonic connections for political influence and shady business dealings. This is officially and explicitly deplored in Freemasonry.[19] It is also charged that men become Freemasons through patronage or that they are offered incentives to join. This is not the case; no one lodge member may control membership in the lodge and in order to start the process of becoming a Freemason, an individual must ask to join the Fraternity "freely and without persuasion."[19]
In Italy, Freemasonry has become linked to a scandal concerning the Propaganda Due Lodge (aka P2). This Lodge was Chartered by the Grande Oriente d'Italia in 1877, as a Lodge for visiting Masons unable to attend their own lodges. Under Licio Gelli’s leadership, in the late 1970s, the P2 Lodge became involved in the financial scandals that nearly bankrupted the Vatican Bank. However, by this time the lodge was operating independently and irregularly; as the Grand Lodge d'Italia had revoked its charter in 1976.[58] By 1982 the scandal became public knowledge and Gelli was formally expelled from Freemasonry.
The UK Labour government, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, attempted to require all members of fraternal organisations who are public officials to make their affiliation public.[59]HYPERLINK \l "_note-42"[60] This was challenged under European human rights legislation, and the government in enacting the European Convention on Human Rights into UK law,[61] had to curtail the scope of their requirements.[62] Arrangements for the declaration of Freemasonry membership have been established for the current Lay Magistracy, Judiciary, and voluntary registration was introduced in 1999 for the Police Service.[63] Decisions on whether information should be released are the responsibility of the public authority receiving the request, on a case-by-case basis, acting in accordance with the principles of the Freedom of Information Act, 2000.[64]

David Addington -
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Addington) - David S. Addington (b. January 22, 1957, Washington, D.C.), chief of staff and former legal counsel to Vice President Dick Cheney. He was appointed to replace Lewis "Scooter" Libby as Cheney's chief of staff upon Libby's resignation on October 28, 2005.[1] He was described by U.S. News and World Report as "the most powerful man you've never heard of".[2]
Vice-President's office
After working for Vice President Cheney, Addington was very influential in many different areas of policy. He authored or helped to shape many of the most controversial policies of the Bush administration.[2] Addington's influence strongly reflects his hawkish views on U.S. foreign policy, a position he had apparently already committed to as a teenager during the late phase of the Vietnam War in the early 1970s.[4]
Addington has consistently advocated that under the Constitution, the president has unlimited powers as commander in chief during wartime. In October 2005, Addington was tapped to become the vice president's chief of staff, replacing I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, who had resigned after being indicted on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. He is the legal force behind over 750 signing statements President Bush has added to bills passed by Congress. Addington was a legal advisor to President Reagan who advised that such signing statements be used to exempt President Reagan in the Iran-Contra scandal.
For instance, he helped to shape an August 2002 opinion from the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel that said torture might be justified in some cases.[5] He advocates scaling back the authority of lawyers in the uniformed services. He consistently advocates the expansion of presidential powers and Unitary Executive theory, nearly absolute deference to the Executive branch from Congress and the Judiciary.
Addington was mentioned by title in "Scooter" I. Lewis Libby Jr.'s indictment for five felony charges related to the Plame affair, regarding the leak of the identity of a CIA officer.[6]

The "invisible hand." Much of the criticism that has been directed at these measures has focused on Vice President Dick Cheney. In fact, however, it is a largely anonymous government lawyer, who now serves as Cheney's chief of staff, who has served as the ramrod driving the Bush administration's most secretive and controversial counterterrorism measures through the bureaucracy. David Addington was a key advocate of the Brown v. Board and more than 750 other signing statements the administration has issued since taking office--a record that far outstrips that of any other president.
- The signing statements are just one tool that Addington and a small cadre of ultraconservative lawyers at the heart of the Bush administration are employing to prosecute the war on terrorism. Little known outside the West Wing and the inner sanctums of the CIA, the Pentagon, and the State Department, Addington is a genial colleague who also possesses an explosive temper that he does not hesitate to direct at those who oppose him. Addington, says an admiring former White House official, is "the most powerful person no one has never heard of."
Name one significant action taken by the Bush White House after 9/11, and chances are better than even that Addington had a role in it. So ubiquitous is he that one Justice Department lawyer calls Addington "Adam Smith's invisible hand" in national security matters. The White House assertion--later proved false--that Saddam Hussein tried to buy nuclear precursors from Niger to advance a banned weapons program? Addington helped vet that. The effort to discredit a former ambassador who publicly dismissed the Niger claim as baseless, by disclosing the name of his wife, a covert CIA officer? Addington was right in the middle of that, too, though he has not been accused of wrongdoing.
-In national security circles, Addington is viewed as such a force of nature that one former government lawyer nicknamed him "Keyser Soze," after the ruthless crime boss in the thriller The Usual Suspects. "He seems to have his hand in everything," says a former Justice Department official, "and he has these incredible powers, energy, reserves in an obsessive, zealot's kind of way." Addington declined repeated requests to be interviewed for this story.
Addington's admirers say he is being demonized unfairly. "This is a new war, an unconventional war," says an informal Cheney adviser, Mary Matalin. "When you are making new policy to meet new challenges, you are going to get vicious opposition."
Few would have predicted that Addington, 49, would become such a lightning rod. Tall, bearded, and imposing, Addington has the look, says former White House associate counsel Bradford Berenson, of "a rumpled bureaucrat crossed with a CIA spook." The son of a career military official, Addington was born and raised in the nation's capital and was in the eighth or ninth grade when he read Catherine Drinker Bowen's Miracle at Philadelphia: The Story of the Constitutional Convention, May to September 1787.
(http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/060529/29addington_5.htm) - Win or lose, those who know him say Addington simply outworks his adversaries. Even when lightning caused a fire that nearly destroyed his home, Addington missed just a day of work. His office piled high with paperwork, eschewing a secretary, Addington is impossible to reach by phone, but he E-mails colleagues at all hours of the day and night about urgent government business and, sometimes, his own arcane intellectual pursuits, like British high court decisions and Australian Supreme Court rulings. "It's clear," says a former White House official, "that he has a wellspring of information to back up that wellspring of opinion." Addington's capacity to absorb complex information is legendary. "My joke about David Addington is this is a guy who can throw the U.S. budget in the air," says Gribbin, "and before it hits the ground, mark it with up with his red pen."
A voracious consumer of information, Addington keeps tabs on judicial selections, U.S. attorney nominations, and political polls. He is, says his former colleague Nancy Dorn, "granular" and "microscopic," adding: "There was no issue too small, his eyes would catch it. It used to drive me crazy. But that's what you need."
Addington's position in Cheney's office--at "the sausage end of the sausage-making machine," as one former Justice official describes it--allows him to wield enormous influence because he is typically the second-to-last lawyer to vet documents be-fore they land on the president's desk. "David was exceptionally good," says Cunningham, the former deputy legal adviser to the National Security Council, "at keeping his powder dry until the last minute." Addington's bottom line, those who know him say, is ensuring that even if the administration loses on a policy issue, the principle of executive power is protected. "He was very disciplined about knowing and articulating the difference," says Cunningham, "between constitutional legal issues and policy issues."
[edit] War crimes prosecution
In November 2006, the German government received a complaint seeking the prosecution of Mr. Addington for alleged war crimes.[1]
--Quote from me, 1/30/07, Antonio Franklin, Isikii - " my main concern, thought is: what is america going to say once we defeat bush? its going to be similar to german citizens' dumb dogged looks after hitler was defeated. ---gary webb - killed, research him. dark alliance. etc..
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Webb) - Gary Webb (August 31, 1955 – December 10, 2004) was a Pulitzer Prize-winning American investigative journalist, best known for his 1996 "Dark Alliance" investigative report series, written for the San Jose Mercury News. In the three-part series (later published as a book), Webb investigated Nicaraguans linked to the CIA-backed Contras who had allegedly distributed crack cocaine into Los Angeles and funneled profits to the Contras. Webb also alleged that this influx of Nicaraguan supplied cocaine sparked and significantly fueled the widespread crack epidemic that swept through urban areas. Webb's reporting generated a large controversy and the Mercury News backed away from the story, effectively ending Webb's career as a mainstream media journalist.
-- DARK ALLIANCE -- In August of 1996 the San Jose Mercury News published Webb's "Dark Alliance", a 20,000 word, three-part investigative series which alleged that Nicaraguan drug traffickers had sold and distributed crack cocaine in Los Angeles during the 1980s, and that drug profits were used to fund the CIA-supported Nicaraguan Contras. Webb never asserted that the CIA directly aided drug dealers to raise money for the Contras, but he did document that the CIA was aware of the cocaine transactions and the large shipments of cocaine into the U.S. by the Contra personnel (Webb's 1999 book, Dark Alliance, substantiated these allegations with copious references).
"Dark Alliance" received national attention. At the height of the interest, the web version of it on San Jose Mercury News website received 1.3 million hits a day. According to the Columbia Journalism Review, the series became "the most talked-about piece of journalism in 1996 and arguably the most famous -- some would say infamous -- set of articles of the decade."[2]
Webb supported his story with documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, including a 450-page declassified version of an October 1998 report by CIA Inspector General Frederick Hitz. According to Webb and his supporters, the evidence demonstrates that White House officials, including Oliver North, knew about and supported using money from drug trafficking to fund the contras, and these officials neglected to pass any information along to the DEA. The 1988 report from the Senate Subcommittee on Narcotics, Terrorism and International Operations of the Committee on Foreign Relations led by Sen. John Kerry commented that there were "serious questions as to whether or not US officials involved in Central America failed to address the drug issue for fear of jeopardizing the war effort against Nicaragua." [1]
Almost immediately, denials began to emerge of the assertions Webb made in "Dark Alliance". Reports in the Washington Post (Oct 4, 1996), Los Angeles Times, and New York Times (Oct 21, 1996), tried to debunk the link between the Contras and the crack epidemic.
Post ombudsman Geneva Overholser agreed with critics that her paper's response to Webb's series showed "misdirected zeal" and "more passion for sniffing out the flaws in San Jose's answer than for sniffing out a better answer themselves."[3] Richard Thieme argued in an opinion piece that the major news outlets focused on attacking Webb or less relevant parts of the story, leaving Webb's thesis largely intact. [2]
Overholser concluded there was "[s]trong previous evidence that the CIA at least chose to overlook contra involvement in the drug trade.... Would that we had welcomed the surge of public interest as an occasion to return to a subject the Post and the public had given short shrift. Alas, dismissing someone else's story as old news comes more naturally." [3]
Robert Parry, who in 1985 became the first reporter to accuse the Contras of involvement in drug trafficking,[4] wrote that the Post's denunciation of Webb was ironic, because the paper "had long pooh-poohed earlier allegations that the Contras were implicated in drug shipments" but now "the newspaper was finally accepting the reality of Contra cocaine trafficking, albeit in a backhanded way." [4]
In response to these attacks, Webb created a web site that contained primary documents, transcripts, and audio interviews.
By January 1997, Webb's editors no longer contacted him about his stories. In March, Webb was informed that the paper was going to address the readers about his series.
On May 11, 1997, Mercury News executive editor Jerry Ceppos published an editorial describing the series as an "important work" and "solidly documented," but criticized the series for: a reliance on one interpretation of complicated, sometimes-conflicting pieces of evidence; failing to estimate the amount of money involved; for oversimplifying the crack epidemic; and for creating impressions that were open to misinterpretation through imprecise language and graphics. [5] Webb was reassigned to a suburban bureau 150 miles from his home. Because of the long commute, Webb quit the paper in December 1997. His marriage had by then fallen apart, and his career was destroyed.
On December 18, 1997, The Washington Post and The New York Times reported that CIA Inspector General Frederick Hitz's investigation found no links between the CIA and the cocaine traffickers.
Webb alleged that the 1997 backlash was a form of media manipulation. "The government side of the story is coming through the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Washington Post," Webb stated. "They use the giant corporate press rather than saying anything directly. If you work through friendly reporters on major newspapers, it comes off as the New York Times saying it and not a mouthpiece of the CIA." [5]
James Aucoin, a communications professor who specializes in the history of investigative reporting, wrote: "In the case of Gary Webb's charges against the CIA and the Contras, the major dailies came after him. Media institutions are now part of the establishment and they have a lot invested in that establishment." [5]
[edit] Investigations
Facing increasing public scrutiny from the fallout after Webb's "Dark Alliance" series, the CIA conducted its own internal investigations. Investigative journalist Robert Parry credits Webb for being responsible for the following government investigations into the Reagan-Bush administration's conduct of the Contra war:
On December 10, 1996, Los Angeles County Sheriff Sherman Block announced the conclusion of his investigation into the issue, publishing a summary of the investigation at a press conference. He announced at the press conference that the inquiry had cleared the CIA of involvement in cocaine trafficking to Los Angeles: "We have found no evidence that the government was involved in drug trafficking in South-Central." Nevertheless, the report included information that supported some of the charges. Charles Rappleye reported in the L.A. Weekly that Block's "unequivocal statement is not backed up by the report itself, which raises many questions." [6] Much of the LASD investigation centered on allegations made in a postscript article to the newspaper's "Dark Alliance" series.

(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hutchison_Effect) - The Hutchison effect is a name given to a collection of alleged natural phenomena that John Hutchison claims to have discovered in 1979.
Hutchison claims that while trying to duplicate experiments done by Nikola Tesla, he discovered a number of strange phenomena, including:
levitation of heavy objects
fusion of dissimilar materials such as metal and wood
the anomalous heating of metals without burning adjacent material
the spontaneous fracturing of metals
changes in the crystalline structure and physical properties of metals.
disappearing metal samples
All these phenomena are jointly grouped under the name Hutchison Effect (HE). Supporters like Mark Solis, his former webmaster, maintain that none can be the result of known physical phenomena, such as electromagnetism.[1]
Hutchison and his supporters surmise that these phenomena arise from zero-point energy or the Casimir effect.
[edit] Scientific opinion
There is no acceptance of Hutchison's claims among mainstream scientists, nor even those who study non-mainstream physics. In a posting to the newsgroup sci.physics.research, Marc Millis, who formerly ran the now defunct Breakthrough Propulsion Physics Program for NASA, wrote:
This "Hutchison Effect" has been claimed for years, without any independent verification - ever. In fact, its originator can't even replicated [sic] it on demand. This has been investigated more than once, been part of documentaries on the discovery channel, but still never seems to pass critical muster. This is in the category of folklore. In general, the "American Antigravity" web site caters to such folklore and its enthusiasts.

--interdimensional travel
() -
interdimensional travel involves the movement of an object from one dimension to another. usually, in our experience, this isn't as difficult as you'd presume, and mostly is a frame of thought.my thinking is that the travel to other higher dimensions for a lower dimension requires high amounts of energy dissipation, which evidences itself as either gaps and holes in energy signatures - black holes, air pockets. , or vast repositories of energy into a space where it should be. major heat, explosion, etc. as you can tell, i really don't know. that's a realm of physics i am not equipped to answer.
Let's look at dimensions
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimension) - In common usage, a dimension (Latin, "measured out") is a parameter or measurement required to define the characteristics of an object—i.e. length, width, and height or size and shape. In mathematics, dimensions are the parameters required to describe the position and relevant characteristics of any object within a conceptual space —where the dimensions of a space are the total number of different parameters used for all possible objects considered in the model. Generalizations of this concept are possible and different fields of study will define their spaces by their own relevant dimensions, and use these spaces as frameworks upon which all other study (in that area) is based. In specialized contexts, units of measurement may sometimes be "dimensions"—meters or feet in geographical space models, or cost and price in models of a local economy.
For example, locating a point on a plane (e.g. a city on a map of the Earth) requires two parameters — latitude and longitude. The corresponding space has therefore two dimensions, its dimension is two, and this space is said to be 2-dimensional (2D). Locating the exact position of an aircraft in flight (relative to the Earth) requires another dimension (altitude), hence the position of the aircraft can be rendered in a three-dimensional space (3D).
If time is added as a 3rd or 4th dimension (to a 2D or 3D space, respectively), then the aircraft's estimated "speed" may be calculated from a comparison between the times associated with any two positions. For common uses, simply using "speed" (as a dimension) is a useful way of condensing (or translating) the more abstract time dimension, even if "speed" is not a dimension, but rather a calculation based on two dimensions. Adding the three Euler angles, for a total 6 dimensions, allows the current degrees of freedom —orientation and trajectory —of the aircraft to be known.
Theoretical physics often experiments with dimensions - adding more, or changing their properties - in order to describe unusual conceptual models of space, in order to help better describe concept of quantum mechanics —ie. the 'physics beneath the visible physical world.' This concept has been borrowed in science fiction as a metaphorical device, where an "alternate dimension" (ie. 'alternate universe' or 'plane of existence') describes Extraterrestrial places, species, and cultures which function in various different and unusual ways from human culture.
The physical dimensions are the parameters required to answer the question where and when some event happened or will happen; for instance: When did Napoleon die? — On the 5 May 1821 at Saint Helena (15°56′ S 5°42′ W). They play a fundamental role in our perception of the world around us. According to Immanuel Kant, we actually do not perceive them but they form the frame in which we perceive events; they form the a priori background in which events are perceived.
Additional dimensions
Theories such as string theory and m theory predict that the space we live in has in fact 10 or 11 dimensions, respectively, but that the universe measured along these additional dimensions is subatomic in size. As a result, we perceive only the three spatial dimensions that have macroscopic size.

- (http://www.themasterofspeech.com/nummo.html) - The Nummo(Also Pronounced Nommo)In The Master Of Speech, Shannon Dorey describes the appearance of the alien Nummo who were thought to have originally come from the Sirius star system. The descriptions presented in the book were based on information presented by the Dogon elder, Ogotemmêli. After they left Earth, Dorey believes the Nummo went to the Pleiades and it was from there that they returned a second time to Earth. Both star systems play a significant role in the mythology. Ogotemmêli described the Nummo as being amphibious and self fertilizing. They were green, serpent, lizard and fish like beings who were more comfortable in water than on land. They had red eyes and sharp pointed teeth. They were also described as being like chameleons, with some having casques and other horns. Dorey believed that these unusual descriptions were one of the most significant aspects of this mythology. She felt that if the Nummo had been created from the imagination, these beings would have been more human like in appearance. It was the fact the Nummo were described as being so different physically from humans that reinforced their authenticity. Dorey thinks this was the main reason why the existence of these beings has been historically denied. The Nummo's physical characteristics were what humans would normally associate with an inferior species. The fact Ogotemmêli talked about these snake, lizard and fish like Nummo as being more superior to humans must have seemed unthinkable in 1946. It is probable however that any alien being that visited Earth would be very different from animals that have evolved on this planet. According to scientists like Carl Sagan, alien creatures would probably not look anything like us because creatures generally evolve in relation to their own planet's environment. Sagan wrote in Cosmos that the possibility of finding intelligent life on another planet was probable but that the possibility of finding aliens who were like us was not. In the mythology the androgynous Nummo were identified as being female because their androgynous appearance tended to appear more feminine than masculine. They were identified with the goddess in world mythology and were symbolized by the sun. Because they were also self fertilizing, they were identified as being virgin goddesses. The virgin goddess was a notable theme in Greek mythology and the virgin birth can be attributed to both the self-fertilizing Nummo and their ability to perform biological engineering. They were identified with Athena in Greek mythology and Neith and Isis in Egyptian mythology. In the Mayan and Aztec cultures they were identified with the sacred serpent. It was from descriptions given by Ogotemmêli that the true physical and spiritual makeup of these beings came alive. In the book, Dorey shows pictures of ancient Ubaid artifacts that depicted the Nummo as they were described by Ogotemmêli. These statues date from 4500 BCE. and were uncovered in southern Iraq from the ancient village of Ur. Follow the link if you would like to purchase, The Master Of Speech. Genetic EngineeringIn The Master Of Speech, Shannon Dorey reveals that alien beings called Nummo created humans through genetic engineering. Dorey's information is based on a detailed analysis of the Dogon religion that was recorded by Marcel Griaule in 1946 in Conversations With Ogotemmêli. Dorey believes that because the Dogon religion was first presented in 1946, it is not surprising that Griaule and other anthropologists of the time missed the symbolism in the mythology related to DNA. Scientists didn't even start to think about DNA until the early 1950s when British scientists like Rosalind Franklin began to do research into this area. Franklin produced the first photo of DNA that became the basis for the eventual discovery of DNA by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1953.The first introduction of DNA in the Dogon religion was with the mention of the fibrous skirt. In the religion DNA was identified with a fibrous skirt because of the visual representation of DNA as being like the fibres of a skirt. The fibres were the "essence of the Nummo". They represented the DNA of the Nummo. Ogotemmêli made reference to the fact the Nummo made "two strands" from the fibres of "plants already created in the heavenly region". The Earth was "naked and speechless" and the Nummo wanted to put an end to this disorder. They made one strand for the front and one for the back. Ogotemmêli explained the purpose of the skirt, however, wasn't just for modesty but for the ordering of the universe. He made reference to the "helicoids sign" and "the fibres" that "fell in coils". Dorey shows this actual DNA strand to show that its visual representation is like the description by Ogotemmêli of the two strands falling in coils.
This picture shows the hydrogen bonds visually looking like broken lines between the double-stranded helix. Ogotemmêli described the hydrogen bonds as a "helicoids sign in the form of an undulating broken line". The Nummo changed the Earth animals who were "naked and speechless" by using the "fibres" or the DNA from the Nummo's world. The lack of intelligence on the Earth was identified as "disorder" that the Nummo wanted to end. By combining their DNA with the Earth animals they ordered the universe. Ogotemmêli made reference to the fact that masked men still wore these "tendrils" hanging down to their feet. These "tendrils" or "fibres" were an important aspect of the mythology. Dorey believes the fibrous skirt is used to represent DNA because of its dual meaning. Once the Earth animals were genetically engineered to become intelligent they were no longer naked and uncivilized like animals. Instead they become civilized and wore a fibrous skirt. In other words through the Nummo's DNA the animals became intelligent. Ogotemmêli referred to the Earth as being "naked and speechless" which is how animals are defined. So by connecting with the Nummo, the animals became clothed and they learned to speak. Dorey explains that the first important symbol found in Ogotemmêli's conversation with Griaule is the symbol of the "word" itself. The "word" was used as a metaphor for the DNA of the biologically engineered humans. This was because speech was synonymous with intelligence and the only way the Earth animals were able to speak was when their DNA was combined with the Nummo's DNA. The "word" was a key symbol and was used throughout to describe the three different versions of the biologically engineered humans. Dorey relates the Dogon use of the "word" as a symbol of DNA to the passage found in the biblical book of John. It is written, "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. John 1:1 ... The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." John 1:14 In this passage from the book of John it says the "word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." In Dogon mythology the "word" was symbolic of DNA. In this passage the "word" or the DNA became flesh. In Dogon mythology it was the DNA of "the Master of Speech" that was supposed to provide hope for humanity and correct the mistakes made from the first experiment. The Dogon religion is analyzed in detail in The Master Of Speech. World MythologyIn The Master of Speech, Shannon Dorey reveals that the Dogon religion is the base religion from which all other world mythologies including Christianity have emanated. Dorey believes Dogon mythology is the oldest mythology in existence in the world today and may even predate the world flood. According to the Dogon, the alien Nummo, who were thought to have come from either the Sirius star system or the Pleiades, combined their DNA with the animals of Earth to create humans. The Nummo were identified as being self-fertilizing and amphibious. They were also green, fish, serpent, and lizard like beings. In the mythology the androgynous Nummo were identified as being female because their androgynous appearance tended to appear more feminine than masculine. They were identified with the goddess in world mythology and were symbolized by the sun. Because they were also self fertilizing, they were identified as virgin goddesses. The virgin goddess was a notable theme in Greek mythology and the virgin birth can be attributed to both the self-fertilizing Nummo and their ability to perform biological engineering. The Nummo were identified with Athena in Greek mythology and Neith and Isis in Egyptian mythology. The androgynous Nummo were also said to have been immortal. According to Dorey, immortality for the Nummo was what is known today as reincarnation. When they died and were reborn they had knowledge of a previous existence. Death for them was described by the Dogon teacher, Ogotemmêli, as being like a snake who sheds its skin. Dorey talked about how androgyny represented wholeness in world myths. It was indicative of the Ying and Yang, the two opposing forces in the universe united together. Dogon mythology discusses the differences between the self fertilizing androgynous Nummo and the single-sexed humans. The mythology tells of the failed biological experiment that caused the birth of the male jackal. He was born single sexed instead of androgynous and was severed from the spiritual essence of the Nummo. As is discussed in The Master Of Speech, the Dogon religion connects human spirituality with the Earth itself. It talks about an evolutionary debt that has to be paid to the Earth because humans were artificially created instead of having evolved naturally. Once this debt is paid, humans will regain their immortality and their lost connection with all plants and animals on the Earth. Dorey believes that the most significant message that is represented in this mythology is the fact that our biological essence, meaning our DNA, is connected to our spiritual essence, which is connected to the Earth itself. The Nummo made a terrible mistake in the biological engineering of humans. The experiment failed and ended up dooming humans to an existence of mortality. Dorey shows how the spiritual Nummo were identified with the serpent in the Bible, who advised Eve to eat the apple from the tree of knowledge. Once Eve ate the apple she became knowledgeable but lost her immortality. The symbol of the fish has always been identified with Christianity. In Dogon mythology it was the DNA of the Master of Speech that was supposed to provide hope for humanity. This hermaphroditic being was half fish and half human. This figure was eventually turned into a male and identified with Jesus Christ by later male dominated societies. In the bible Jesus was seen walking on water and on the Pope's ring is a hall of fishes. In the mythology, the androgynous Master of Speech was sacrificed so that humans would eventually evolve into immortal beings. The problems that developed as a result of these spiritual beings interfering with the Earth's natural evolution were catastrophic. The failed crossbreeding experiment and the cataclysm that resulted are found in the history of people from North America to India. These different stories and myths are talked about in The Master Of Speech. One aspect that determined the age of this mythology was its symbolism. According to Dorey, the fact the Nummo or goddess was identified with the sun, and the male jackal was symbolic of the moon was significant. In Occidental Mythology, Joseph Campbell talked about the reversal of these symbols which became suppressed by the intrusive patriarchal warrior tribesmen whose traditions came down to us in the Old Testament and New Testaments and in the myths of Greece. Campbell called it solarization where the male became associated with the sun and the female with the moon. This would suggest that Dogon religion is older than Judaism, Christianity, and the Greek mythologies. This mythology is analyzed in detail by Shannon Dorey in The Master Of Speech. ----could it be that the gov't is feeding us shows like stargate, battlestar, star trek, independence day? etc??
unlikely., conpiracy theories are usually based on the corroboration or collaboration of ideals that have been concentrated into a source for distribution. I.E, a director meets a few guys who know about gov't secret, they talk a bit about it, the director is intrigued, he does a little more research on it, and he decides to compose it into a film.

-------(more on jews) (maybe i should say how much i like jews, so i don't get pinched. turns out they're more powerful than i'd originally guessed-- if you don't believe me on how powerful these people are. just look at what our PRESIDENT said to them... the oh, so adorable clinton(not), said in a speech in isreal, regarding the current upheavel or ..something, il dont remember that "if their is any conflict that involves isreal, we'll be a definite support. i'd personally get a gun, hop into the ditches, and start shooting, in the cause for the jewish state."...... THE PRESIDENT! ... SAID THAT SHIT!..... loool. i wish he felt so powerfully abuot blacks! too bad we have the lowest iq and can't become more proficient in accounting and banking---------anyways, I've just read some really condemning evidence that maybe distorts other info i have. at present i've reveiewed the victor ostrovsky book "by way of deception: we shall make war"... a very bone chilling expose on the secret jewish spy agencies work. what's really crazy is the info posted about the media STRANGLEHOLD he recognizes they have on north american media. Mr. Ostrovsky is actually a former mossad agent, very smart gentleman, one of the youngest louitenants in the isreali armed forces to be promoted and an expert on arms. He tells that becuase of his own beliefs and defense of justice and the "right things to do", he refused once, joining but evenutally did. After his three years of training and subsequent missions he partook in, he painted a grim portrait of exactlyt he type of power they had and have. my questions are ----- he reports that the mossad had to do with not only the libyan/u.s. breakdown in relations, but the iraqi dictatorship being weakened through their cannon fodder/cloak and dagger deceit of the americans. now... that sort of distorts my thinking. what alex jones proposes through his research is that the illuminati or other org's had been developing plans for a nwo for years now and were simply waiting for things to fall into place, or to find a hole to attack their initial targets (afghanistan, all the stans really, iraq, iran, the oil peninsula) BUT... ostrovsky states that the mossad, these...very wicked chess-players made the actual plans to use their hold on the media and their "bought memmbers of congress" to profess how evil iraq was.. who was it? ..... or.. maybe, even though the jewish are extremely clever and have a powerful hand in the military, the americans simply used that extra 'push" by the mossad as cannon fodder..hmm... i can't say. this sort of throws everything out of wack, EVEN THOUGH, most of what i said can be researched and you can simply get the confusing facts for yourself. either way, i always look for the end result. and the end picture isn't rosy.

Claims
In his speeches, Lear says there are 80 different species of aliens visiting earth.
Lear is generally pessimistic about the future, suggesting that the alien presence is sinister and that there is little chance that the government will reveal its UFO knowledge.
Lear appears to have backed off from the his earlier "aliens are eating humans at Area 51" claims and now sticks fairly close to the Lazar gospel. However, his Lazar stories tend to include more personal interpretation than Lazar's own telling.
Skeptic's View
Lear endorses nearly every UFO claim as real, no matter how loony, thus his judgement is unreliable.
Supporter's View
Lear does tend to go overboard at times, but his sources of information, including Bob Lazar, are basically sound.

- Part One: LEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS
(with apologies to Dr. Hunter S. Thompson)
Although I knew it would somehow be inevitable, I have been very reluctant to commit what follows to hard copy for a number of reasons. Throughout years of uncovering all manner of lies, treachery, deceit and betrayal by criminal elements within the government of our country and its client regimes around the world, I have subscribed to an unspoken code of "honor among thieves" -- that is, to respect and protect the identity of sources who have finally chosen to "come clean," often at great peril to themselves or their families. What has been held reluctantly in confidence emerges now only after the repeated blatant and sniggering violation of that code by John Lear himself.
Despite Lear's cultivated image as a swashbuckling pilot and serious UFO researcher, he is, in my opinion, and others', an irresponsible, self-centered, loutish thrill-seeker who truly has no business in the latter field, and questionable competence in the former, given his record of hard-drinking and womanizing, at least during the time I associated with him from 1988-1990. Lest I be accused of self-righteousness in this regard, I have never pretended to sanctity, but have certainly interacted with Lear and the others mentioned herein with utmost integrity, while he has not hesitated to portray me publicly in a much different light. Because of the magnitude of the issues he has succeeded in forcing before the world's attention, I believe that it is long past the time when the public should know more of the truth about Lear which he has so desperately been attempting to conceal. I sincerely regret that I waited this long to bring it to their attention myself.
For someone who has made such an effort to "wake up the masses" to the looming peril of takeover by "grey aliens from Zeta Reticuli," which he has claimed are ensconced in underground havens in the Nevada desert, the man has accomplished an even more masterful cover-up of the looming peril of martial law under the fascist masters he has willingly served for over two decades.
The only reason I have reluctantly chosen not to publicize Lear's involvement in the activities I am about to disclose until now was that I had little doubt that his family would almost certainly suffer severe negative repercussions, particularly considering some of the principals involved.
As much as I detest melodrama, the revelations contained herein constitute a very real threat to the reputations, and the very lives of a number of innocent people as well as the participants. I realize also that exposure of some of the more sordid aspects will likely bring embarrassment and discomfort to others ensnared in the situation. I regret this probable turn of events tremendously, but after considerable soul-searching have concluded that the larger issues compel me to make these disclosures. I am truly sorry, but their boy has had numerous opportunities to rectify the errors and has deliberately chosen instead to magnify them. C'est la guerre.
I am not making these disclosures out of fear, or in a limp-wristed attempt to embarrass or "get back" at John Lear. I could have chosen any number of other less-public ways to do that long before now if that had been my desire. Rather, I believe that it is crucial that the American people be informed of these details in order to fully appreciate the magnitude of the sell-out of this once-great nation which has taken place at the hands of the weapons merchants and their willing operatives and transportation agents, such as Lear. While a few concerned citizens are still asking "Where was George?" on October 19 and 20, 1980 when a shameful deal was being made in Paris with the Iranians to keep the American hostages until the precise moment Ronald Reagan was inaugurated, I am compelled by conscience to inform them more fully on those who handled the actual payoff. This payoff has been estimated by those in the know to ultimately total upwards of $82 billion in illegal weapons transfers over a period of nearly a decade.
On a more personal level, I am also intent on making it clear to all concerned that I am aware of the threats Lear has been making -- including his obsession with having me killed, according to one mutual acquaintance.
Since I made his threats public, he has claimed that I am a "Walter Mitty" who would like to flatter myself that someone cared enough to feel threatened by my disclosures.
I believe, however, that Lear's fear has been genuine for some time that I will expose his complete fraudulence on the UFO issue, and his participation in such treasonous and criminal flight operations over a number of years.
In this regard, it is almost a given that Lear might already have quietly made calls to his cronies in the "trade" to whine and snivel about the numerous secrets he bragged about to me. Have no doubt whatsoever, that any of these people would kill unhesitatingly to continue covering up many of the things Lear bantered about openly to me, though he was fully aware of my professional and political orientation from the very outset of our contact with each other. After failing to receive so much as an acknowledgment from various media and law enforcement contacts to whom I made some of this information available over the last three years, I have been heartened recently to see the harsh light of scrutiny finally beginning to fall on such depredations by the few honest people in power, and the rats beginning to squirm. I have no illusions about the possible repercussions: As my fellow investigator John Judge has said many times, "You can either face this shit standing up or on your knees." And as Barbara Honegger and others have documented, George Bush's "kinder, gentler nation" has already entailed a large and growing number of mysterious fatalities.
Despite the sincerity of my investigative efforts throughout this period, my role and motivation have been repeatedly distorted by those with an axe to grind, or mayhem to conceal. I have found inspiration to continue from the old pilot's adage, "When you're receiving flak, it means you're probably over the target!" which my friend and mentor Lt. Col. James Bo Gritz is fond of using to exhort his audiences to valor in the face of increasing corruption and persecution by those in power at present. Even John Hancock had more fearless compatriots beside him than some of the wimps, wannabees, liars and backstabbers I have mistakenly chosen to associate with in the past, all of whom, like Lear and Cooper, claim allegiance to the truth and preserving our cherished constitutional freedoms -- before they "duck and cover." Nor do I have any illusions as to my "reward" for bearing such a message, but given the inherent risks in working on all my investigations, especially as I have with Gritz in publicizing high-level U.S. Government involvement in drug trafficking, political destabilizations and assassinations, such a consideration has obviously been secondary.
Although I have been following the UFO phenomenon for 25 years (and fairly intensely for the last three years), I do not pretend to be any kind of expert on the subject. My focus in this article will be primarily on more mundane issues related to personal credibility and provable criminal and/or treasonous actions on the part of the individuals named above. Those who are hoping to learn here whether or not Bill Cooper and John Lear and others are telling the truth about whether there really are UFOs and/or aliens at Area S-4 of the Nevada Test Site, as they and others have alleged, or whether MJ-12 really exists or is another elaborate fabrication of the intelligence agencies, will have to look elsewhere. I do not know for a fact that either or both of them are working in any capacity for any intelligence agency, but whether they are or not, they certainly deserve distinguished disinformation service medals. Whatever insights I may have acquired on the subject of UFOs over the last three years, it is not my purpose to discuss them in any great detail here. I have little doubt, however, that exposure of Lear's involvement in the operations I am about to describe will ultimately surface direct connections all the way into the highest levels of the U.S. Intelligence Community and beyond.
And I have little doubt, as well, that whatever the truth is about the reality of advanced-propulsion aircraft, the intelligence agencies are massively involved in spewing disinformation to confuse the issue as much as possible. John Judge has referred to UFOs as "Unrecognized Fascist Observatories," and if I had to place a bet, I'd say he's far closer to the mark than Lear or Cooper. In retrospect, as you will clearly see in what follows, I believe it is no coincidence at all that Lear emerged from the shadows to start beating the UFO drum in early 1987 just in time to distract public attention from the Iran/Contra scandal which was beginning to unravel and from Lt. Col. Bo Gritz's revelations about the complicity of high-level U.S. officials in the heroin trade -- the same officials who were responsible for the return of our POWs and MIAs from Southeast Asia.

Claims to have worked with alien craft at "Area S-4" in Nevada

Lazar offers an interesting, intelligent, unverifiable story surrounded by lies....
Bob Lazar claims to have worked with alien spacecraft at a secret U.S. Government facility at Papoose Lake, about 80 miles north of Las Vegas. Lazar intially made his claims on a local Las Vegas television station in Nov. 1989. He says he worked at a facility called "Area S-4" at Papoose Dry Lake, south of the known government air base at Area 51, in late 1988 and early 1989. There he says he saw nine flying saucers housed in hangars built into a hillside. Lazar says he had hands-on experience with one of the craft and he can describe its propulsion system in detail. Lazar says he read briefing papers about the alien presence but that he saw no aliens himself (aside from a fleeting glimpse of a small figure through a window at the facility).
The core story is, almost by definition, unverifiable, since no one can go to Papoose Lake to check it out. The only thing we can investigate are the claims that surround it. If Lazar does not tell the truth about the things we can verify, how can we trust the things we can't verify?
Lazar has lied about his educational credentials and his position at Los Alamos. He claims that his records have vanished and that the government has turned him into a "non-person", but there are no specific records that can't be accounted for. Only his educational records are missing, which plainly never existed to begin with. All evidence indicates that Lazar worked at Los Alamos as a repair technician, not as a senior scientist as he claimed. There is also no evidence that Lazar has ever visited Area 51, which unlike the S-4 claim, can at least be checked out "off the record" through former Area 51 workers. Lazar says he travelled to "S-4" by way of Area 51 on daily 737 flights that hundreds of other workers take. Although he says that Area 51 was only a transfer point for him, he has been unable describe the arrivals area or what you see when you first get off the plane.
The simplest theory to explain the Lazar story is that it is completely false and that he concocted it initally to fool John Lear, who had been telling extravagant aliens-at-Area-51 stories for a couple of years before Lazar arrived. Lazar could have simply fed back to Lear a more rational version of what Lear wanted to hear. Other more complex theories say that Lazar is recounting a real flying saucer experience that actually took place elsewhere or in different circumstances, or that he is a dupe or willing participant in some complicated U.S. Government or foreign government plan. (For example, it could have been attempt by the Soviets to probe or disrupt activities at Area 51. Is so, this would not have been the most convoluted deception of the Cold War.) Motivation for the fraud remains murky, as Lazar and his primary supporter Gene Huff have ignored or sabotaged many opportunities for financial gain from the story. (Although movie options and the saucer model kit have made the story profitable for him, Lazar seems disinterested in pursuing deals.) Thanks to Huff's aggressive attacks on anyone who questions the story, it is hard to find many Lazar supporters left in the UFO community, even among those who want desperately to believe.
All lies and mismanagement aside, Lazar's is a fascinating tale, compelling even as fiction. Its restraint and long-term internal consistancy remain impressive. Lazar's straightforward explanations of his experiences, his healthy skepticism of other UFO claims and his early willingness to submit to hypnosis and a polygraph test remain intriguing. (The test was inconclusive, and the professional hypnotist believes Lazar's emotional responses to his recalled S-4 experiences were not faked.) Ultimately, Lazar's claims have prompted the world to ask, "What is out there at Area 51?"
